yea just the numbers, had to add a few buttons but got that sorted
i know you are a smart guy but it only takes one thing as we well know... so
unit is called Dish TV DVR (Dish TV t2200)
under change device settings you can tell it my remote is sending too many commands too fast or to customise the commands , one laborious way around it is to try to get the remote to learn the old remotes commands and flick the old remote away after a very short time so it only gets one of the two double commands if you get my drift. there are a few customisable options there to get it exactly sorted . i did this the first time but harmony did an update for us t2200 users and i dont recall having to do much after that. the first iteration had double channel up down but the second didn't.
tried setting a sequence under the watch tv command, with the button press then a 1 second delay, but when there is a menu on the screen i still get 2 button presses being displayed by the unit.
i dont think its a remote problem.

"or is there no alpha / beta testing done at all?"
if there is, i dont think there are many or they do a wide variety of testing.
i havent found any new issues as yet, but the same old ones that bug me are still there.
"When performing a factory default or tuning the auto timeshift now automatically discards allowing the user to perform these functions immediately."
can you make that happen when viewing the library and using media (UPnP and USB) or asks you if you wish to do it.
I have a strange issue between my DVR and my Logitech Harmony Hub in that the hub no longer seems to be able to switch on the DVR and sometimes when I switch it on manually other remote commands don't work, and then after a period of time they do work. I've tried resetting the DVR to factory but no go and also removed the DVR from MyHarmony and re-added it but no change.
I have the device set as DishTV T2200 in MyHarmony.
Anyone else have this setup?
in my experience the Harmony is too smart for its own good and if you don't use it to turn on equipment it fails to go into the correct button modes to operate equipment. I get around it by holding my hand over the IR port on the remote and selecting "watch tv" which in my case invokes TV amp , T2200 and sets the correct inputs and outputs allowing amp to be volume and T2200 to be channels and emulating the stock remote as closely as i can . this means i get the mode correct but i dont disturb the already running equipment . may help you, may not
tcassie:Hi there, have had my T2200 for a few months now, have not quite walked away from MySky yet but getting closer.
Main issue right now for us is that we lose the ability to fast forward, pause & rewind etc when there is another show recording. Generally seems to be when its the same channel (so watching a recorded Chan 3 show, but scheduled recording of another chan 3 show starts) but not 100% sure about that. Once the recording of the other show stops it seems to all come back to life and we get full functionality again.
Have reviewed the forums and see issues with locking up when fast forwarding, is this the same issue? For me the show carries on OK, just can't control it. My work around is to hit the power button (only one that works) and then power back on...takes a minute or so. Then go back to library and select again, but the option to view from the last viewed point is missing so you have to fast forward all the way back to where it all went wrong. Seems to work OK again at that point.
Cheers!

Same issue here too, i just settle in for a whole bunch of adds and no break until its done. actually a bit relaxing to have that break of adds sometimes , im used to cramming in 1 hour of telly into 45mins or less these days and watching stimulating shows and that gets intense some times !! But you have described a dozy of a bug rather well. Its number one bug on my list as of today (since 1.25 update)
Was holding on hoping that the latest update would resolve this but it has not.
Issue is basically that we lose all control of the DVR when watching TV. Cannot fast forward, stop rewind etc or reload the schedule/library. The progress display shows zero minutes on both sides as per:

All we can do is power unit off from remote. Wait a minute and then power back on again. At this point it recognises that I have party watched the show from the library but you have to fast forward back to where you were, no option to go back to where you last viewed.
Always seems to occur when another channel is recording, but not every time. Have not had it occur at any time when nothing is recording. I only use this unit for TV so can't speak to impact when playing videos etc from media players.
It's the one thing that is stopping me from cancelling Sky. I'd love to be able to commit to this unit!
Thanks
My T2200 is a cause of quite a bit of frustration. The unit goes through short periods of stuttering, no audio, playing a few secs then pausing, rinse and repeat, then displays the Poor Signal message. This can go on for 5~20 mins. It happens pretty much on a daily basis to varying degrees, however, the unit is fine for the vast majority of the time in use. I have a relatively new aerial, with booster and it works perfectly when connected directly to the freeview tv, no signal reception issue at all, period.
I'm wondering why the signal issue occurs for short periods and at random times? If a fault within the aerial, booster or cabling I would've expected prolonged periods of poor signal reception. Could it be hardware related with the component receiving the signal? The unit is kept up to date re firmware.
Be interested to know if anyone else has encountered a similar issue or any suggestions?
With a good aerial signal AND a booster, it is possible that the signal level is actually too high for your T2200 to cope with. If you have a spare two-way splitter, try putting that in the T2200's aerial line, and just leave the other connectors on the splitter empty. That should drop the signal to just under half of its current level. Most tuners can cope with a very wide range of signal levels, but too high is as bad as too low.
