This may have been covered but I cannot see anything regarding it. Can you start a playback of recorded programs at a user set time offset as is possible with a MySky HD recorder?
TIA
I was thinking about the black screen issue, anyone had any updates re this?
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
I noticed it the other night. I went back after I'd noticed it (using the live rewind) and there was no hint of issues when it was being played back.
So it's def not an issue with reception.
I wonder if it gets a bit muddled with the tuners. I have only had a few times and turning off and on stops it.

Has to be something like that - but the thing is, it obviously receives it all properly because the recorded data is clear.
It's more like an HDMI issue I reckon.
Good point and might see if its possible to disable CEC stuff in Viera Link to see if that does anything

Hi there,
Just bought this unit the other day and overall it's pretty good.
The one thing that bugs the hell out of me is that in order to pause live TV, I need to rewind it first. I guess this is to put it into that mode. I really really would have thought pushing pause... would pause the TV. Please tell me there's a setting I need to turn on!
So to clarify, I'm watching tv, I need a loo break, I push pause on the remote and it does nothing. Rewinding works, from then on I can pause until Iexit that mode. This is most backward.
Oh and I did notice the random blank screens - it seems swapping HDMI ports fixed it. There is a page in the manual for troubleshooting that covers this issue.
thanks
Nick.
Pretty sure live pause is an option in the menu to turn on

Thanks, when we did the first set up there was a bunch of questions about something that I can't quite remember, but it was a power-saving question. That is to turn features off and I think that may have been one of those. I will take a look at the settings again and see if I can find it.
If anyone can pinpoint that setting before I check, that would be helpful :P

Hmm it's a bit inconsistent. I went home at lunch and had a quick go and it paused after about 5 seconds with no feedback. Tried again later in the evening and no pause or any feedback at all. Could this be a fault or some limitation I'm not aware of?

After a long period of watching only on-demand and recorded content on the HT260, I became reacquainted with the momentary black screens again recently. Very frustrating to the point of unwatchable.
The latest occasion was last night, on TV1 at about 9pm. Changing channel to TV3 displayed the same issue there. Changing back to TV1 and the issue recurs. Rebooting didn't help either.
Solution? Power everything off and read a book.
If it is happening across major channel groups (muxes) then it seems unlikely to be anything contained within the broadcast – unless it is a Freeview/Kordia "incompatibility".
The fact that it does not happen on recorded material, further indicates that it is occurring on "output" from the HWT260, as others are suggesting.
Has anyone had any further insight from Panasonic?
I wonder if the same issue is affecting the other new models, PWT560 and BWT760; since they appear to be the same hardware with optical disc added.
I have found the frequency of black screens and freezes has increased. I have been in communication with Panasonic but no progress made.

Bought one this week and the freezes are so annoying....
spoke to Panasonic this AM for my BWT760 they have suggested that its a signal issue. I did have a the antenna etc checked a few weeks back and all was OK and the signal strength was good. Panasonic say there could still be signal issues with good strength due to errors and are saying is due to the FreeviewPlus signalling. I am not convinced but will get an antenna company to have a look.
