In the lounge we have:

Samsung Series 6 40" Full HD LCD

Original Xbox running XBMC for media streaming and games (Just got Psychonauts, love it!)

PS3 for games (with a mouse controller for FPSes, lol) and HD movies

Dad's PC for games, HD movies, HD TV recording and the rest of the computer stuff)

A cheap Sanyo HDD TV Recorder from The Warehouse

Logitech Z-5500 surround sound system

In dad's bedroom:

32" 720P Sharp LCD TV

Recently dead - Dad's old PC, PSU went pop :(

In the sleepout:

My PC; for games and music mostly.

22" LG LCD

Samsung HTIB system

In my bedroom:

Acer 10" Netbook

Dell 2.1 speaker system

Also have Salling Clicker on a Nokia N82 to control any media playing on PCs, and web interfaces for nearly everything media-related.

I would like the Magic TV because we only have a (nearly dead) Sanyo HDD recorder, and Dad's getting sick of recording stuff on Prime with HORRIBLE reception on wet days, which won't be going away any time soon, it seems :(

Spending way too much time and money on Unraid servers!

My wife will kill me if I get any more cables or remotes. Will the freeview box do it?

I have dedicated AV equipment room where I distribute everything to the rest of the house. Lots of wires (hidden) but means I have nothing but speakers and a projector screen in the living room. A smaller TV sits in there when not using the projector but is wheeled into another room most of the time.

My freeview is coming from a PC card - save the planet by giving me this box so I don't have to leave my PC turned on all the time. :)

BTW - My 12 year old (HD) CRT projector still beats the pants off most modern projectors (and I've never replaced a bulb(/tube)) :)

Lounge: 46" Bravia X series connnected to TCL digital cable service + VHS + DVD player + non-integrated Yamaha sound system.

Familyroom: 32" CRT

Other: 2 PC's with TV cards (Freeview)

Unwisely held back from buying / building a PVR due to TCL promises of great things to come "soon"/"next week" etc. Now looks too little (HD size) too late, so a a Magic MTV3600TD would certainly be a welcome addition to our setup.

At the moment I have no way to record,
a magic TV would stop me getting bored!!

Here is what I use to view
Television when I sit on my pew:

Panasonic LCD 32S10 with Freeview built-in.

Pioneer VX-517, 1 pair Technics speakers (stereo only)

I'm currently running MediaPortal on an old Athlon 2.5+ GHz (single core) box and Freeview Satellite. putting this into a full HD 23" Samsung LCD screen. the old box running mediaportal isn't fast enough to decode the dvb-t|HD stream, so that's why I'd love to have this Magic box! Good luck to me :)

P.S Love MediaPortal, been using it since freeview was first released via Satellite (well before the Freeview|HD days).

Over 1/3 of my life is spent in front of my HP dx7 Quad Core 2.1GHz|4GB laptop.
A few hours a day in front of my HTC Desire.
My day job: I do asp.net web development for NetPotential.

We just move to Auckland and only have an iDTV Sony 32" just bought in two days ago. However the reception is not good and can't get full range of freeview chanels. We've been told by the landlord that the place is not equiped with UHF freeview aerials. We are still sorting this out and are considering whether we should get a indoor UHF aerial...

I have a Samsing 37" LCD connected to a MySky HDi and a Bose Lifestyle HT system. There is also a WDTV HD Live and a WD 1 Tb external hard drive to playback my backed up digital content.

I am just about to shift houses to somewhere that will be able to get Freeview HD reception (my current house has a large lump of land between us and the transmitter) so saving a bit of money by using a Freeview PVR will definitely be a bonus.

Got home tonight and wanted to sit down and catch up with tonights recordings on my HTPC, but I found the MediaPortal TV server (1.1.0 RC4) had crashed and failed to record. Reboot quickly sorted it, but no Sunday programmes for me. Would be nice to see how robust the MagicTV unit is, though I quite fancy tinkering with MediaPortal, so I'd probably end up giving it to my mum if I won.

Got a 50" Pansonic V10 plasma, cheapy Panasonic wireless Home Theatre in a Box for the amp (that really needs upgrading!) All my media is through my HTPC conected to the TV with HTMI and optical audio to the amp, includes Blu-ray, Dual hybrid DVB-T tuner, 2TB+ of HD, 4GB RAM, 9800GT Green.

My home entertainment system is a Dick Smith CRT Tv and a Digistar Freeview receiver hooked to a Sky dish that they left behind.
My home entertainment system does not embarrass me.
Much.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Onkyo components, coupled with B & W speakers.

Panasonic dvd recorder.

No Sky.... too much rubbish!!

I would love to win this for my partner

She loves TV but is in serious need of an upgrade

Her set up is my hand me downs ...

A 21 Philips CRT TV
A Sony VCR
A Sharp 2 head! VCR
and a large collection of very worn video tapes

I'd love to be rid of all the video tape clutter and she'd love the great picture and sound, EPG and all in one box convenience of a MagicTV!

I wish I had got a Magic TV DVR to start with......lots of hours stuffing around with my setup, but it is still not working properly.

Got a 42" Panasonice full HD plasma and Panasonc Home Theatre System.

For my media centre I have a Veewsonic Vot132 computer with a HDhomerun as the TV tuner. Running windows 7. The main problem is an ocasssional jump in the picture as it 'catches up' to real time. I think it is related to the fact that there is a splitter in the roof sending the ariel signal to just about every room, need to get up there to disconnet some of those......I am sure the Magic TV DVR would not have all these problems
