davidcole: I would have thought that 5 was more logical....10 requires two keypresses (lazy I know) but also for ch-up, ch-down buttons putting it way up there seems silly. Hopefully I can renumber my tv as i see fit

Channels 1-9 where pre-allocated to TVNZ, MediaWorks and Maori as the original members of freeview, with 5 allocated to MaoriTV.

Considering the absolutely crappy golf I played this weekend, it makes it, for meCool

So, will we get 5.1 or TVNZ's downmixed AAC audio?

And some good programmes.

I see the motorbike/action sports loop is on Kordia transponders on satellite and terrestrial already.  My assumption is that'll turn in to Prime tomororrow.

The previously mentioned extreme sports loop has now been replaced by live Prime! Doesn't seem to have EPG data yet or a channel name (testing in VLC). Great luck - was just checking before heading to bed.

Hmm my one calls it "PRIME" guess they fixed it. This is in MediaPortal and DVB-T BTW.

Fox News which is on at the moment is 4:3 but the broadcast is 16:9 (i.e. with black bars)

Can confirm details are:
Channel: 10
NetworkId: 8746
TransportId: 33
ServiceId: 1404
PmtPid: 204
Provider: SKY
(yes it's SKY even though it's in Kordia's mux)

Also the same in VLC. The limited EIT info is there but can't test MHEG-5

Using Windows 7 and Media Center:

DVB-T: I needed to set up tv signal from new to pick up the DVB-T feed. Working fine with EIT guide, and this was good as I could choose to not set up Analog signal.

DVB-S: Choosing Optus D1 NZ from the list when setting up the tv signal from new only gave me the standard satellite fare. I needed to do an additional scan of the 12456 transponder to pick up the new Prime feed.

Note: the Sky satellite feed is still scrambled.

Looks like Microsoft will need to add Prime to their list of NZ channels on Optus D1 NZ
