Hi Josh and anyone else with the following problem:

During playback, if I pause the recording for more than a few seconds, when I unpause it I get a notification, "playback aborted due to invalid/corrupt content". So I have to play it again from the beginning and fast forward to where I was and repeat if I pause playback again. This is happening on playback on different recordings.

ALSO when I press play again and am asked "resume playback, yes/no" and I click yes, it plays from the beginning of the recording and NOT from where it is supposed to.

Yesterday morning the box updated itself but the issue is still happening.

Also when I stop the recording it carries on playing (sound only, no picture) even though the on screen menu shows it as stopped. It's now very difficult to watch anything!

Please can you help?

Will get back to you on this,

Hi Josh,

I posted this problem above on 28 March, haven't heard any more from you. What do I do please? Is this an issue under warranty, do I need to send the unit to Dish TV, please respond? Thank you

I do apologise in the delay, it might be related to the unit itself, get in touch via our support email team and they can look into this directly.

In the last week our unit is restarting when a recording starts. We have been in the middle of watching a recorded program when the screen goes black and the unit reboots, once it starts and middleware initalizes it starts the recording. Anyone else having this issue?

Hi treenz

This is something strange, has the unit been updated to the latest firmware? If so could you please message me some details of your box like serial number and I can send this through to our product team straight away to have a look,

cheers

Hi treenz

Has a Full Factory Reset been made to wipe any of the settings?, usually a reset will clear any software hiccups and might wipe away the issue with recording,

I'm sure I could see where I was rewinding to before? What's the point of a rewind if you can't see where you're rewinding to?

The magic tv, tivo etc manage it. Heck even VCRs did!

Hi Josh ... please help

I have some problems using my T2200:

1. With series record, how do I stop it also recording the +1 channels. I like to record TV1 6pm news each night, I arrive home a bit late and can skip through the boring bits and ads.  But DishTV also records the 7pm cast on TV1+1, tying up a tuner and preventing us watching other things.  I can de-program those +1 channels, but then I can't watch/record them if I want to.

2. Sometimes I don't get home late, and actually get home a bit early :-) So I watch the Chaser and need to rewind odd bits to hear the answers. Great fun.  But .... we get close to 6pm and DishTV decides to abandon the delayed feed it's giving me and jump straight to Live TV so it can begin recording the news.  I miss the end of my program and I can't see if they beat the Chaser !!!! and I can't change to TV1+1 because I've de-programmed that.  Tivo (and MySky as far as I know) simply keep buffering and allow you to watch the delayed TV through until the recorded program (then automatically switches over to the recorded program).

3.  Later at night  I pause whatever movie is on to do the dishes and issue the odd parenting instruction which my kids ignore.  Then I get a bit sleepy. The older I get the earlier this happens. Easy solution - record the end of the movie ... but, Dish TV refuses to record unless I've caught up to live and then also press stop. Why?

4.  So I accept I'm going to miss lots of the movie, I fast forward and press stop.  Then hit record ... I think it is supposed to know how long the program goes for and default this as the recording time ... my unit always wants to record for either nil or 480 minutes! Why.

I'm really hoping there's a solution other than not pausing, and not recording ... please help.

Alex

Re my rewind issue.... The last thing I recorded is now previewing in rewind fine now!

MUCH easier and Im sure it was always like this so not sure why someone comented it wasn't, but nice to get it back... Hopefully it stays :-)

Also the nunber two co me t above, yep, very frustrating. Doesn't happen often but annoying when it does as something used to doing with tivo and magic tv.

Hi Josh. I'm having an issue with media sharing. T2200 finds my device. I can see Music and Video folders on my device. When I click OK to open the video folder the entire system reboots. Also there is nothing in the iManual about either File Sharing or Media Sharing. It lists the items in the menu but when you click through the information or sections are missing. Can you shed some light on this please.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm trying to play videos from a shared folder on a PC on my network. They are a mixture of file types - mp4, mts, mov, avi and mpeg. Since my previous post I tried again to a view the list of video files and it did not reboot it just got stuck for 30+ minutes until I turned off the power. I just checked the video folder on the PC and noticed that there are 2716 videos, which is probably why it choked.
