I can confirm I get the same result when trying to run the Sunday and Britains got talent from the OnDemand Apps.
I have Rev 1.29, just updated last week, didn't make any difference.
I have been able to run these on my my phone version of OnDemand.
Inconvenient to say the least.
treenz: TVNZ not working tonight, tv3now & maori working so not an internet issue. Loads the tvnz app, select a program and just get little loading icon in the middle of the screen. Anyone else having any issues?
I suspect this might be the issue although mine does not load anything just loads indefinitely: TVNZ Service update page -
Episodes in FreeviewPlus not starting for LG and some Dish users
We're working to resolve an issue FreeviewPlus users of LG and Dishbox are experiencing where content will play an advertisement and then either load indefinitely, or crash.
We hope to have a fix for this as soon as possible and we apologise for the inconvenience.
I have also noticed the OnDemand issue where you select watch video and the loading icon stays on the screen. I haven’t used the OnDemand system before so I have no immediate frame of reference for how it ran previously but have tried to load something. TVNZ are aware of a problem and are looking at fixing it, according to the info @treenz has found.
Theres another couple of things I’ve noticed with the box and haven't had the time to post over the last few weeks. I've only just yesterday been using the box as I haven't had the time before now to use it and update to the v1.39 software.
The first thing is with the Auto Timeshift (TS) system enabled, I’ve set the limit to 30mins but the TS pause buffer is still running even when the 30min limit has been reached. And I've also noticed that after ending a manual recording, the TS kind of gets locked to that channel and I have to go to that specific channel and stop the TS, after already stopping the recording, in order to use it on another channel.
Just want to check with anyone who's been using the T2200 for longer if this is a part of the system and that's how it works (and also if you have any tips for how to properly use it) or if this is maybe an issue that needs to be looked at and changed in a future update.
One last thing, @joshhill96, is it possible to have an option added to set the standard EPG (the built-in one thats provided by DishTV) as the default so that the T2200 loads that EPG when the Guide button is pressed. The only options at the moment are the Freeview Plus and the MHEG regular Freeview EPG.
Hi Guys
As confirmed, there is an issue with the TVNZ app and TVNZ are looking into fixing this.

I read this post a second time and I'm concerned to see "some Dish Users" are experiencing this issue. I'm one
Can you confirm the issue is with all T2200 or only some T2200? Or is it not showing up in other DishTV products?
Your assistance is appreciated.
Bernard

We have received quite a number of alerts via the call center, emails and our online forums + Facebook, Users with the S8200 and T2200, LG and Samsung TV's, it will be Dependant on whether the other boxes not having the issue (If it's been reported) have been updated to the latest version.

HI Josh,
Thank you for quickly responding, are you suggesting that the 1.39 (my current version) is the problem?
Do I download 1.38 and install that version and report back?
Cheers
Bernard
you cant revert versions, it will just redownload the latest version

Jason,
Thanks for that timely reminder. I gather you weren't able to resolve the 'down grading' attempt you/others were trying a few weeks back?
Any suggestions appreciated.
Cheers

there is no way short or removing internet and aerial connections (rendering the box useless for anything other than watching recorded stuff)
ive been asking for this to be changed since i got the box

Assuming that the T2200 is using the internet to download firmware updates, can't you just put an entry in your router to block access to whichever site it is using? Freeview, etc should still work.
it used the internet OR over the air to update the box. you can disconnect the internet all you like and it will still get the update

Hi Bernard,
At this stage we are unable to downgrade to previous versions unless the current version is removed, Because the TVNZ issue is affecting other brands, the firmware is not a problem.
At this stage TVNZ has not updated us on the problem, they have made a few short term fixes on another brand device but waiting to hear if they will do the same for Dish TV.
Thanks for your patience.

Interesting, thanks.
I must admit that I hardly ever use my T2200 because my family couldn't bear to give up on Sky but looking through the user manual it says that over the air updates are a rare occurrence and that they will mainly be done over the network. I unplugged my network cable and booted my T2200 and it is running v1.38. I tried an over the air update and it said it couldn't find anything so hasn't updated to v1.39.
I also note that in the software update menu there is the option 'Allow SW update' which you can set to Off so wouldn't that do what you are trying to achieve because if you set that to off a big warning message comes up saying that updates won't happen unless it is enabled again.

That could be helpful. Could you try running the TVNZ ondemand App and playing 20/20 for us to check if 1.38 works?
Much appreciated
Bernard
