What time of night was it?

I was watching ondemand last night (Call the midwife) about 7:00 pm and about 10mins into the latest episode and for some reason the DishTV box rebooted.  I restarted the ondemand app and played the episode with no further issues.

Cheers

Bernard

The box often just restarts, the screen goes black as if you have switched it off (even though the remote is on the side table), it then shows middleware initializing and starts up again. I have noticed this happens more when you are watching a recorded program and the timer kicks in to record a program. We do watch a lot of TV 1 so can't really say if it is just TV 1 or other channels. We were watching a program the other night and we were about 95% through when the box restarted and then started a new recording, we went back to our recorded program to continue watching and it did not remember where we were so had to ffwd nearly to end again :(

TVNZ ondemand is working again with the new firmware.

Voice and program sync is still an issue which happens when you want to go quickly through a program, have to stop and restart quite often which does bring it back into sync.

The filter seems to make the picture more stable, no change to signal strength or quality when looking at the meter. Not completely fixed as the picture still flickers occasionally but better than it was and the sound does not seem to be a problem anymore (to date).

It was about 9pm ish Saturday night.  Same deal, went back and watched the rest of the show without issue, but had to fast forward back to where we were up to.

@joshhill96

My T2200 got the update, and now TVNZ on demand is working again, however it rebooted in the middle of watching a TV1 programme.  No warning, nothing.

Hi kimxk

When you say reboot was this when it was updating or did this happen after it was upgraded? The firmware for this issue was set at high priority as this was a nationwide fault so we needed to push the upgrade out without delay.

I updated the firmware on the day it came out, I.e. last week.

The reboot happened while watching tv1 on demand. It looked like it was going to an ad but rebooted instead.

Yes Kim, I remember now it looked like was going to an ad break, and then it rebooted.   Sounds like we had the same issue.

Cheers

Hi Guys

Could you please do a factory reset and see if the issue resolves, If not then please PM Me some details of your unit and we can look at investigating this further.

@JOSHHILL96,

Josh,

I raised the issue as an experience that was of a little concern.

It hasn't happened again.

If it should happen again, I'll do a factory reset and then see if it happens again after that.

Speaking of Murphy's law, it will now not do it, until the most important recording of whatever is on.

Cheers

Hi Josh,

Given that it isn't really repeatable (I watched two 30 minute episodes on demand last night and it didn't happen) a factory reset isn't going to troubleshoot much.

I will do one anyway.

Thanks,

Hi there.

Prime has disappeared from my list of channels on my T2200. Will a reset bring it back and if I do a reset will all my scheduled programs need to be set up again?

Yes, your scheduled programs will need to be re-added after the reset, this does not wipe your recordings however.

Can you change the epg from freeviewplus to the built in EPG?
