cb1: I just noticed there is a new firmware update (28/08/09) for the Visione model available at http://www.visione-newzealand.co.nz/downloads, but no sign of a new version for the ET at the usual places. It was previously found that the Visione firmware doesn't work for the ET, but hope that this indicates some further work is continuing.
InspectorGadget - any insider info?

robjg63: Actually - I could have sworn that I posted it some while back....
Anyway - Its here if you want it:

I included the user guide that appeared for a while.
This was the version that never seemed to get posted on any of the official support sites - it came later - one of the other kind users on this forum got it mailed to him - Seems ok - depending on whether your ET box hardware was ok I think.
You can roll back that version if you need/want with this:

Good luck.

robjg63: Hmm - I always found that my ET was a bit funny with a couple of USB flash drives I had.
But I definitely upgraded/downgraded and upgraded (just to test) and the process seemed to work fine - so I dont think they disabled anything in the releases. Try another USB drive I think.
Did you make sure that the folder AS_HK_DMB_UPDATE was in the root of the USB flash drive with the *.lwpb and *.ini files underneath?
I'd guess that if the ET doesnt see the folder/files in the right place it will just ignore the USB drive.
You did unzip the update files and extract them to the flash drive ok?
cb1: After the first PVR firmware update, the Imation thumbdrive I had always used was no longer recognised. Tried a Philips mp3 player (with USB connection) and it worked fine.
Haven't had any issues with Prime - rescanned and picked it up 1st time.
