Sorry, slightly off topic, but can someone confirm that if I want to continue to use Powercinema (I'm in NZ) then there is no way to get EPG (other than for a couple of hours)?
Thanks.

ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll = (GPL) http://sharpdevelop.net/OpenSource/SharpZipLib/
System.Data.SQLite.dll =  No copyrights.  Public Domain.  100% free for commercial and non-commercial use. http://www.sqlite.org/copyright.html

my code
closed source - havn't looked at licences... what do you suggest?

Thanks for the reply.

Although the GPL library you are using does have an exception clause allowing it's use in closed source applications, as a proponent of free software I'd suggest using a free software license such as the GPL. Obviously the choice is entirely up to you but there are many advantages to using a free software license.

Hi I've been using Dvbviewer with DVB-t for some time now but wanting to use your EPG downloading program, but am not getting past the first configuration where by I am unsure of where to alter the paraneters to get the program to work with Dvbviewer, and so the grabber runs but leaves no .xml file and the Channel pairing brings up 0. Any help much appreciated.

You can simply double click on dvbviewer.bat to download the epg file.
just make sure that the /epg folder has been created first. (will look into fixing this so it gets auto created in next version).

That will download the file and the rest of the process should be straight forward.

Thanks, however still no joy, I had'nt copied the XMLT job Editor correctly, but that did't help either, also there has been no epg folder created in the Dvbviewer folder so I created one but still remains empty after the grabber does its stuff and I get that lovely "error on analysing files" when initialising the pairings.
Its going to be great when it works!!

What happens when you double click on dvbviewer.bat
What does it say if anything?

Can you download http://epg.pvr.geek.nz/epg/listings-freeview.xml.gz with your internet browser?

You need to create the epg folder yourself (but in future versions of my program i'll make it create the folder).

So in short you need to create the epg folder.
and follow the instructions in the previous reply.
that should solve your problems.

Thats what I'd done already so we're back to square one and I've set all the users to full control, I think its a simpler problem than that, where is the epg file going when its downloading, it says its copying so where too. and there's no file going to my created epg folder.
We'l get it, just won't be tonight. Cheers

Explain the steps you have taken
or better yet.

start again
first following: http://mentalindustries.orconhosting.net.nz/epgFiles/vistaUAC.html
then
http://mentalindustries.orconhosting.net.nz/epgFiles/dvbviewer.html

If you have a default install of dvbviewer and have put the files in the correct location it should work fine.

Anyone else having troubles after updating to the new version of the grabber? Mine is making all the right noises, showing up under the epg button in dvb viewer, but not in the epg plus plugin. Sometimes it shows one day with a couple of entries and other times it shows 2 days with a couple entries.
