Today I went to watch something on tvnz on demand through my Dishtv/T2200 and cannot get it.  It says the Webpage is not available and it is Error 52: Server returned nothing (No headers, no data) and gave suggestions such as :

  •

    • reload this webpage later

  •

    • Check your internet connection

  •

    • Restart any router, modem

I have done the last 2 points and everything is ok, and still have the Error 52 message, but I tried to reload the webpage and I can highlight it by using arrow keys on remote but nothing happens, when highlighted I press ok and still nothing happens.

Is anybody else experiencing this problem?  Last week I had no problems watching tv on demand.  So when I press apps on remote control all I get now is the Error 52 message.

Yes I'm experiencing the same problem today. Can't loads the apps. Getting a webpage error.

Yes, i think it is widespread.   aerialbox's website dishtv.co.nz is also not working at the moment.

We are currently testing software for this issue and hope to have a release version as soon as possible, I will check with the software team and see if we can provide test software for those willing to try it in the mean time.

I would be happy to help with beta testing any new release.

The apps portal is all up and running again now, if this ever happens again you can also launch apps from the Freeview EPG using the Green button on the remote.

Here is a link to the latest test software http://www.dishtv.co.nz/image/catalog/Firmware/DIS007_10_0141_01_USB.usb please let us know how you go testing this.

This software has the fixes for the Audio modes on the T2200. All modes should work now for both On Demand and Live TV.

I have tested this beta version and it does not work as intended. PCM stereo is output regardless of the audio setting. Even when set to AC3 the HDMI audio output is PCM stereo not Dolby digital (on the broadcast channels that support it).

This does mean that the on demand audio works without having to change the audio settings, but we have lost Dolby digital out when AC3 is selected for Live TV.

Hi, Thank you for trying this, please ensure the software did not revert back to previous release which can happen when connected to network. Check version under Menu - Installation - System Info.

If the software did revert back to release version please try the following instructions.

To stop the T2200 from doing Network update, you can Change the Update URL to stop this.

First go to Menu - Manual Update - Schedule Update type in your model Number 2200 and the box "OND Server URL" will appear press "OK" to edit. delete the last letter from the end of the URL and save.

Once you have done this repeat the update via USB and it will not try update again.

The software did not revert to the previous version during my testing. I installed version 1.40 manually (via USB) once my testing of the beta version was complete because I wanted to restore the Dolby audio output functionality.

Let me know when you have another version ready for testing.

Does anyone know if this has been updated to use the new freeview app?

As I am thinking of digging this out and trying to get it working again

Hi, The T2200 has not yet received the On Demand Service, Freeview is rolling the new service out to all devices in stages. Once Freeview has made the service available on the T2200 it will automatically become available.

Found that you need to pull the power to force the reboot, otherwise it will not do the update it.

I just made sure "LPM in standby" (settings/admin menu) was set to ON, then used the remote button to turn unit off and then on. That was enough to trigger the update.
