Hi gang,

I have an old silver SatMax SM801 Freeview HD receiver. It's gone a bit insane, and I need to reload the firmware - but I've lost my copy of the most recent version. I've tried to contact SatMax many times - by phone, by website, by email - but no response. I even left a phone message - with no response.

Their website says that they're back to full strength - but I am suspicious that they've folded.

Can anyone clear this up? Or better still - point me to a copy of the SM801 firmware?

Hi
I'm in christchurch and just phoned them on 3435565 - chose option 0 and was answered by Liz.... and advised her of your message. You can be assured they are still open.
Suggest you try monday as the firmware guy has left for the day.
Regards
Murray

Hey thanks for that!

I wonder why they hadn't replied to one voicemail message, two contacts via their website, and three emails to their office email address.

Very weird.

I'll call them Monday. Thanks again!!

Any update?
Did you manage to get hold of a "human" at Satmax?

Many thanks - yes! Contact has been initiated with either a human - or else a very convincing Turing Machine. :-)
