I can see it also on Wharite. It is SID 1499, 1920x1080, about 5.4 Mbit/s. There is AAC and AC3 audio and a subtitles stream. So yes!!!! It really is Prime in HD finally! I hope it is not too long before they make it the proper live version of Prime.
Good news, and not before time.
I really hope they do an OnDemand for it as well.
I miss a lot of Prime content, and have no way of catching up on it as it isn't on Freeview On Demand.
I saw vodafone say something about prime on demand as an app on vodafonetv in early December .
Maybe both going live Dec 2? (monday)

Some Prime content is available via SkyGo. And no you dont have to be a Sky subscriber to use SkyGo for Prime.

robbon44: Prime is on VodafoneTV box.
Yes, some content is available via 'On Demand' on Vodafone TV for Prime HD.
There is no actual 'app' as such for Prime On Demand (Not to be confused with 'Prime Video' which is an Amazon service)

One of these days Sky will learn about this thing called the Internet.
Now on in Auckland from the Waiatarua transmitter on hidden channel 610. Looks good

Sky Tower too. Brilliant - never thought this day would come.
This is now officially live. The test channel was 5.1 but disappointingly the official channel is only stereo.
Yes, we went live last night with replacing the SD stream. A big win and hope to be enjoyed by many kiwis with Freeview via UHF access.

Double check the audio streams as they do appear to be broadcasting in AC3.

But how many channels? AC3 can carry one-channel mono audio, 2.0, 5.1... etc, so AC3 stereo is still a possibility...
Just checked in Christchurch.
It is ac3, 2 channel though only talk show in at moment.
I have looked at many programs through Sky box for Prime and Sky 5 and they have only ever done two channel ac3 so say it’ll be same for Freeview.
Salvation on Sky 5 was 2 channel ac3 yet on Netflix it was 5.1 so for some reason Sky always holds back.
The HD is a great picture improvement.

As I already stated, it is only stereo.
