Right, I've had enough waiting for this.  Prime should be on FreeView, right?

I've just set up a petition online and if you guys & gals join me, we'll send the message loud and clear.  Once I have enough petitions I will personally be knocking on Sky TV's door - that's a promise!

So, if you want to add your voice to the chorus, please sign my petition:
Petition for Prime on FreeView

Thanks!

I've signed too!

Sky's excuse about not at decrypting the Prime satellite signal because of concerns about signal spillage to other countries is pretty weak as TV1, TV2 and others are already FTA via satellite.

I've never read a response from Sky why Prime FTA would be different to the other FTA satellite channels. The other FTA channels also have Sport and other programs that are contractually for NZ eyes only. I've read no complaints that they may be in breach of contract because of signal spillage from these other channels.

Really? you think a commercial organisation is going to forgo profit because of an online petition? Really?

Look I enjoy prime as much as your average person - but is it really such a big issue?

As Paul Henry would say Start a group, really......oh wait....

For billions of years since the outset of time, every single one of your ancestors survived, every single person on your Mum and Dads side, successfully looked after and passed onto you life.  What are the chances of that like?

I think this provides the answer for Sky TV.  If you are willing to pay them just for Prime, why would they give it you for free?
I tried to sign but website timed out.

So you are saying that at the moment Sky make more charging a one off fee from selling a locked Sky Decoder than the advertising revenue they can justify by  increasing the exposure of Prime?
