Good morning,
I'm looking for recommendations for a developer to help with the initial config and layout of a new WordPress site and Mailchimp templates to suit.  This would be done with our existing hosting provider and the ongoing maintenance would be with our existing provider so I'm looking for the result to be handed over "open".  The developer will be working from a reasonably developed but not overly prescriptive spec.  I'm looking to go live at the start of February.
Thanks

Just a couple of thoughts
mailchimp and wordpress arnt that hard to set setup I ve played around on a amateur level with them and got them working together there are plugins for mailchimp on wordpress.org

I f not look up programmers on Google there are sites where you can post your requirements and they quote you back

I've had some good success in the past using websites like FreeLancer.com. You enter your spec's and free lance developers around the world get to bid on it. All with usual reviews and community feedback functions. I couldn't recommend anyone specifically.

WordPress is one of those things that is infinitely configurable so I can appreciate why you would want a pro to do it.

Do you want someone to set up the technical side (databases, installs, security, etc) or do you want someone to do the creative side, web design? I can do the former (I'm massively overqualified and plenty of experience in that area but I happen to be idle until my new job starts) but not the latter. Generally with wordpress you just buy a theme and it does the pretty stuff.

PM me if interested.

We can help you achieve what you would like to, having experience in both Wordpress and Mailchimp. If of course you still require help with this.

Hosting providers won't provide support for any website you have developed. So you will still need ongoing support from any developer you use. This is because wordpress needs regularly updating, and after updates , things break. Theme and plugins need updating etc. I just had to fix my website after some things broke after a recent automated wordpress 4.01 update.  I use both wordpress and mailchimp extensively.

I wrote a piece here recently of my experience with Freelancers.com The three developers /coders, I spoke to were very helpful.
