At the moment it looks like the site is toast regardless of http/https the error looks like a proxy one.
Over loaded again?

If these things aren't fixed, as I said before, people will just find the next big thing. No amount of PR or marketing can fix a botched service launch.

PR of the type "wow we are so popular we just cant keep up" is pretty poor as well.
They would have expected massive interest form both genuine and none genuine users so its quite strange to see the actual site down.

If you cant upload/download a file then i can understand that to a degree, but your whole site being offline during launch is pretty damning to a new service like this.

Maybe make the utilization details public, show people how much bandwidth, active sessions etc are going on to give some scale to the issue because at the moment it just looks like a botched service.

mega.co.nz defaults to https://mega.co.nz which then results in a SSL connection error message in Chrome. repated attempts eventually result in success but uploading of files is still not working.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Just sits on pending here for me. I do notice that at work I get firefox popping up that I need a plugin and nagging to install flash. So I hope that isnt how files get uploaded, as I have it totally removed at home on the browser I was trying with.

True but if I recall 2degrees had issues with their launch too [esp, the web site] and look where there are

I think Freitasm is refering to the likes of Wheedle.... Also, I suspect 2deg doesn't fall totally into this category (I can't remember their launch) because they don't supply a product that is totally Internet based.

Linuxluver: I joined.

Noting the free accounts have a 50KB/sec upload limit.

The Pro 1 accounts are €9.90 / month. Not too bad for what you get (500GB of space and 1 TB of data transfer/month)

I'm pretty sure you Could choose, But I can't confirm now because it's Hard Trying to log in.... it shows the login Screen, type in my details, then the login button has no effect.
