So it looks like Kim Dotcom is launching his Mega website this Sunday night at 8:30pm with a very generous limit of 50GB free cloud storage space to use! Link is below..

Kim Dotcom reveals Mega will offer 50GB of free storage, hopes to offer Megaupload data transfer

So I guess this is a pretty generous limit on free cloud storage given that Dropbox offers 2GB free, Google Drive 5GB and Skydrive 7GB.

Anyone gonna take the offer and join up when available? I know I am!

Sure, but this doesn't mean the service can't disappear with your files...

That's true but they (certain parties) would probably have to dig even further to be able to find illegal activities/ stuff in there.

I see that Mediaworks have pulled all Mega's advertizing due to pressure from the usual suspects.

Sure, but this doesn't mean the service can't disappear with your files...

This is true of absolutely ANY cloud based system or service where another provides something for you. One of the MANY reasons that I don't recommend "cloud" (God I HATE that term) for anyone.

The risk related to this site, is that he has such a huge target on his back now, any service he provides is going to be constantly scrutinized.
