Might hold off for a while, and see what happens over the next 6 months, before I use it for anything business related.

I just tried uploading again and now im getting decent upload speeds.  Im on 10/30 UFB.

I did try on day one when the website was launched and one of the very few files I did actually manage to upload crawled along at a couple hundred kb/s

freitasm: And so it begins: collaborative page listing that helps find content...

I was reading that earlier.  Quite a clever idea really!

I linked a small Text file and wrote some Gibberish in it for Testing. Labled it Test.txt Uploaded it and posted the link on mega-search.me  . Now got I served with a takedown notice for my own Test file.

Every link posted on that site is getting a taken down without even checking if its content.

Sites not working as of writing now.

As the owner or the agency for the owner can be really the only person who can ask for a take down notice.. who was the takedown notice from? Do they have any rights to ask you to take your own file down?

Can you give us a copy ??

If the takedown notices were submitted to mega.co.nz, they're required to complete the takedown according to sections 92B-D of the Copyright Act. However, if the person who submitted the takedown notice was falsely claiming ownership of copyright, then they are liable under section 112A of the act. You could try to claim damages if you were prepared to take the matter to court.

Now that's what I'm talking about!

MUCH better!!

That said, I am getting either one of these errors, depending on which PC I'm on, when attempting to download files of my own:

Anyone else having this problem?

So uploading is fast but you can't quite recover what you put in there? Classic.

I just tried using the index thingy to download a 1KB text file. It said NaN KB/s and refused to download. It does the same for my uploads too.

I'm sure they will sort out the bugs. This service seems too good to be true. People seem to be saying customers will come and go and say it does not work. I think they will be coming back once it does, as it offers too much potential to turn down.

Agreed, the potential for this service (once working correctly) is enormous!
