Why do people think this is better than Google Drive, Skydrive, Dropbox? Those other services are all available in multiple platforms (Windows, Mac OS, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, iOS) and can easily sync between those via apps and programs, instead of having to use the one browser upload.

MEGA is still in beta format, that functionality is in scope according to their Development roadmap:-

It seems if you post public Links on public sites that also contain pirate content, Mega will take it down.

So it's been a few months since mega.co.nz launched.

Is anyone still using it? Interested in hearing your experiences...

I'm finding it incredibly useful for sending files to others as links. In the past I've done this via right clicking on the file in Dropbox and generating the link....

More or less the same process with Mega aside from the extra step with uploading the file via browser.

Why use Mega:

I'm finding uploads tend to be quicker and like the fact files I'm sending aren't touching my Dropbox quota or aren't using up space needlessly on my computer (I have an SSD so keep local files to a minimum).

This is true of absolutely ANY cloud based system or service where another provides something for you. One of the MANY reasons that I don't recommend "cloud" (God I HATE that term) for anyone.
