I've been looking for a small UPS (700VA) to provide battery-back and voltage correction for my small Ubuntu Linux server as well as a few pieces of key network equipment in a home server environment.
The APC Smart-Ups units I'd normally have favoured apparently have issues talking with Linux boxes due to the Microlink protocol, so I've had a good look at what Eaton can supply and have settled on the Eaton 5S700AU (700VA) model.
The Corsair PSU in the server does have active PFC, but from what I have read won't have any issues when the UPS switches to battery power, despite this model being a stepped sine-wave equivalent model.
Any thoughts/comments would be most appreciated!
