Hi there
My charity is having a god awful time with Google Adwords right now. We have sponsored adwords and about 5 weeks ago I put my site into maintenance mode to upgrade my theme. But, I forgot to pause my ad campaigns.
Since then they have suspended my site due to "Malware".
I have scanned my site with Cpanel, scanned with Sucuri, got my host to check for malware - nothing - no malware detected. Google search console, shows no malware.
Resubmitted my site. Failed.
Installed a premium theme (Bridge), resubmitted site. Failed.
The Word fence security plugin came back from them as malware.
Yesterday I completely removed everything from my webserver and deleted the site. I installed wordpress via Cpanel Softaculous, and am using the bog standard Wordpress 2017 theme. I've not installed any plugins.
Submitted that yesterday and it came back failed.
Google's response:
Hi Angela,
Thank you for the response.
Angela, I understand the inconvenience you are facing regarding this issue, however, till the time your website is not Malware free, we will not be able to enable your website and approve the Ads on them.
Furthermore, I again escalated your website for a review and it can came back and still detects Malware/links that are potentially harmful to you and to the site visitors. Please contact your webmaster to remove these links and check for other potential harmful links. You may assess your site using Google Search Console (previously known as Webmaster Tools). You can click on this link for further details OR refer to stopbadware sites for any guidance.
As a charity I can not pay for any specialists to sort this for me. I;'ve spent the last 5 weeks working on this, when I should be putting my efforts into fundraising. I feel very victimised by them.
I can imagine if I stuck a static site up, they would still say it has malware. I feel they are doing this to push me out of the Sponsored Adwords program.
If someone has the time to help me sort this with Google Adwords and help my charity I would be greatly apprecaited and I look forward to hearing from you.
