Received today from Eway:

-----
As a valued customer of eWAY, we wanted to remind you about the upcoming launch of the Merchant Trust Initiative on 17 December 2018.
[...]
Your automatic enrolment into the program will take effect on or shortly after 17 December 2018, along with a $149.95 inc. GST establishment fee charged to your account. The usual monthly fee of $9.95 inc. GST will be waived for the first 12 months, after which point the fee will be charged.

------

At no time did I, on behalf of my company, ever agree to incur any charges beyond quoted gateway fees.
This company has my credit card details for paying gateway fees, not as a money pit they can abuse by way of unscrupulous 'opt out or we will charge you' extras hidden in emails for which there is no offer, acceptance and contract.

Luckily, I left Eway months ago due to continued technical problems but I left the account open. I will now be complaining to my merchant bank about their conduct.

We also have received such a notice, and are not happy.

No one is going to change provider in the month before Christmas, so we’re stuck.

Very unhappy. We will have to arrange to switch to a new provider next year.
