If anybody else was interested the game Castle Warriors works on Froyo firmwares. Quite fun, much more enjoyable on the television via TV Out with a bluetooth mouse though!

I think I'm about to flash Doc_Kalpik V7. I hope JPA has a decent browser.

I saw your question on the forum. I've got v6 on my phone. I've also downloaded the zip file to put JPA's browser on, in place of the JP6 one that's part of v6. Did you want me to test it out for you?

Ok, I tried only pocketnow and engadget the same as I did the other week with Dolphin on v1.3 of Kalpik's ROM.

I'd say JPA is quicker than Dolphin was. And I'm using the full websites, not the mobile. The images loaded pretty quick and scrolling doesn't show any lag. Only when I pressed the menu button to open a 2nd window was there lag. But not viewing the pages/sites.

Grrr I flashed V7 of the Doc_Kalpik rom and Swype constantly FCs. I pretty much can't use it without Swype. May have to just flash a stock JPO rom or something. not sure how to start though.

Can you you do another reboot? Often things come right after another reboot. I never had a problem with swype myself (on V6). Did you clear Dalvik cache? You probably didn't have that option to begin with. But if you installed the (renamed) update.zip to get Clockwork Recovery, you'll have the Clear Dalvik Cache, it's in the 2nd to last option from the Recovery screen, some CWM tool option. Try that, unless you've got Root Explorer where you can get to it from /data/dalvik-cache, then you can select all items in there and delete them.

I did a factory reset before installing V7. I think I need to manually reinstall Swype somehow.

I know plenty of people have been asking about different keyboards. I just tried searching the thread for "swype" but the service is down for about 10 minutes.

I think it'll be under /system/apps Some say Titanium can delete *.apk files but I've not tried. But if you've got Root Explorer you'd be able to delete it.

Actually, I guess I can grab it from my phone (the *.apk file) and upload it or email it (zipped up) to you. Or you could search the Internet to see if anyone else has it sitting somewhere available to d/l.

Send me your email (PM me) and I'll zip up the swype.apk file. It is in /system/apps. Do you have an application you can install apk files?
