Mantis: Anyone after an invite, I have one spare.

I'd like an invite if you still have one laughing

Please contact me if you are keen on invitations for 64GB Oneplus One. I have received 3 more invites.

I was little disappointed that one particular user who wanted the invitation, did not claim and went to waste. This could have been redistributed again!

Please read through the forum carefully about the phone before asking for the invitation however. I do not want to waste my time describing how to get it, how to avoid GST, etc. All the necessary information is here.

PM me only if you live in NZ and want the invitation that you intend to claim and actually get the phone.

Cheers

How long do you have to wait for invites to arrive after buying one (Thanks Mantis)  I have a mate that is after one?

I have heard people saying the PBtech one supports different frequencies than the normal OnePlus One model but according to PBtech's website it supports the same bands etc just more expensive from PBtech even if you get stung at the boarder.

Is there any details of the ones that they sell at PBtech other than what's on their website?

Are the invitations specific to 16gb and 64gb?

I ordered my OPO on 28 July and only just received my 3 invites on 18 September so it took a while. Yes the invites are specific to the 64GB, I'm not sure if they are even selling the 16GB version outside China.

Don't know why you would want a 16GB one with the 64 being $50US more unless your a developer just wanting it to test apps and nothing more.

PBtech have been selling them for a while - 16GB and 64GB
Though it looks like they have pretty much run out of stock of the 16GB model

Unfortunately that $50US is enough to push it over the customs limit, so could easily end up costing over $170NZ extra  money-mouth

16gb has always been fine with my current phone, just means I have to download photos etc to my pc from time to time.

icekayak - $299 at Youshop. That's my advice.

All invites are now gone. Shared 6 - so hopefully others will also do the same. There are still heaps of people in Aus waiting for invites.

I thought the invites were done with and it was now open for public purchase?

Why not just purchase from Expansys?

http://www.expansys.co.nz/s.aspx?search=oneplus%20one

Pretty reasonable pricing too

Would never pay for a invite majority of people are giving them to who ever comes first because that is the way they got them.

We should be helping this company succeed by selling their phones than throwing away invites (even though they would do better by opening up the sales of them).

Next month they are meant to start a pre-order system for a limited time so they invite system is not going away. http://www.androidcentral.com/oneplus-one-pre-orders-will-be-open-limited-time http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/anyone-can-preorder-the-oneplus-one-starting-october-1266148

I don't know what the difference the ones sold by expansys and pbtech are but the are missing the word Cyanogenmod on the back of them and have heard from random sources they may not support the same frequencies as the ones ordered directly from oneplus but no one has been able to confirm that as the specs on their websites are just a copy and paste off the oneplus website.

The one being sold from Expansys comes with ColourOS which is a different OS to CynagenMod. ColourOS is what is present in OPO's parent company (or the company that owns OPO or has financial interest or has spun off from), OPPO. OPPO Find 7 runs ColourOS.

That is the main difference as far as I can see. There could be differences in frequencies etc but I have not looked that much into it at this stage. But I would personally only get the CM models and not the ColourOS ones.

And on the topic of paying for invites, I mean ya I see where you coming from mate, but so far all the other members have shared their invites on here which I think is the way to go.

Ok so your going to run into the problem of it not directly supporting Google Apps (gmail, maps, market) without having the side load them.
Think I would stick with the ones from One Plus then.
