Finch: I have small hands so not exactly sure how the Note is going to look in my hands, let alone next to my ear.

Does anybody else have any experience with small hands + using the Note?

*hands up

I have small hands, Im on the Note 2 atm & planning to upgrade to either the Note Edge or the Note 4 if I cant get the Note Edge.
The size isnt a question for me.

I take it you've not used any of the larger sized phablets at all? have to tried some store demo phones out??

You get used to it and love it. its not that big a deal. I use it daily for everything I do online &taking calls doesnt phase me one bit.
At first it feels odd, but not for long.
If you get one, eventually you'll wonder why you didnt upgrade sooner!
with the newer models, Note 3 & Note 4 - you can shrink app screens down to use 1 handed, left or right.
I cant with my Note 2 atm, but can alter the keyboard to left or right handed for one hand use, but I never use it.

any other questions??

Sooooo.... Note 4 on the 24th October then

Samsung cordially invites you to our 'S CARPET' #GALAXYNote4 launch event

Still no word on the Note Edge, on facebook I asked directly, Samsung NZ said: Hi, there's no release planned for NZ yet but we'll keep our fans updated on Facebook if this changes.

So thats not a NO but not a YES.

That's weird. I have a friend who is working on the note 4 campaign for one of our main carriers here. He said it's the 17th. Might've changed since last I talked to him.

The 17th fits with the "mid October" statement in the Herald ad, and is consistent with Australia's supposed date from the infographic, even though the carriers there had been saying 29th (or have they updated that now?).

Be very careful when Pre-ordering from NL. It happens every year, shipment gets delayed or something else. Should just wait for the Labour Day sales when there is stock + the price will be the same

Yep, labour day just around the corner. Got 20% off the Note last year.

And it was reported the Note 4 at launch in Korea was just over $100USD cheaper than the Note 3 at launch.

a) If the pre order stock is delayed, surely it'll still not get any later than Labour Day anyway? Net result the same at worst? Or am I missing soemthing? (Considerign the purchase).
b) anyone have any idea on the listing on NL saying "Spark Network"? I am on a work Voda plan so just cautious. Surely we will be getting a version in NZ that supports all Network bands?

Yeah, no stress aye. Got this stinkin old G2 (which I love) to keep me going, a GTX980 video card arriving about the same time and tons of DayZ to play in the mean time, so if it's a few days late, I'm not going to stress, got a discount already..we're ahead! :-)

Dam that is a great price!!! $959.20... already 20% off?? wow

tempting.... sooooo very tempting!

I was wanting to hold out to see if the Note Edge will be released in NZ. I really do want that phone, but if that ends up a no-go for NZ, Im happy as pie with the Note 4

Nice! Which 980 did you go for? I'm waiting for the Strix, but may grab the EVGA ACX 2.0 superclocked one which is available right now and comes with higher stock clocks... Just got a devils canyon installed in the desktop, that and the 980 are a bit of a massive upgrade!
