Got mine this morning, arrived at Westfield Riccarton about 9.15am and there was a mass of people outside the store. Turns out they were there for a snap chat competition and the winner won an S6.

Went in and was out in 25 mins with my new flat Gold Platinum and so far love it. Have to spend some time this arvo setting it up.

Love the colour and bought a bronze window case to go with it.

Very very snappy , I have gone from an S4 to this though so there is not as much bloatware on this as opposed to the S4.

Who else has gone and got one this morning.

I am gutted, I was told my account rep would sort me one for release day, hopefully they will sort it for Monday but there is now some doubt!

Oh, and regards bloatware - I saw in one review that most (? all) of the included apps can be disabled now.

To the new owners of shiny S6s: how is the IR blaster? It was great on my Note 3, basically completely broken on my Note 4. Also, anyone able to confirm it lacks MHL? I have one very trusted source for that, but I keep seeing it referenced at a number of sites.

You guys have any idea where to buy one out-right in Auckland? All the carriers only sell them attached to plans for the first week or so.

Dick Smith is selling it outright. They have the 2degrees version. The Samsung kiosks in the mall are also selling them outright.

BritishKiwi: Just a heads up guys....  If you're getting the S6 or the Edge phones make sure you check the glass (front and back) for damage.  Quite a few users in the States have reported receiving scratched, even cracked screens right out of the box, almost like the launch demo units were recycled out to users as "new"phones.  Don't know about you guys but if I'm paying over $1000 for a phone, I expect it to be mint.  Thread here... Scratched right out of the box

its strange these things appear prior to launch, if you were being a pessimist you may think its just the opposition marketing machine in action. I remember bendgate on the Iphone 6 which amounted to very little.

Had mine for the day and still really like it.

I really love the build quality , I must admit I was a bit pissed about the removal of the sd card and battery but now that I have it I don't really care about it any more , I only got the 32gb model but that will be enough for me.

Battery has been holding out well but a week of using will show how that all pans out.

Love love love the display , so crisp even in sunlight.

Just out of interest how much memory is available to use out of 32gb?
