This ties in with Vodafone Albany saying they will have stock on Fri morning and "won't sell out on Day 1, unlike iPhone releases" (their words).

True but I will be paying $1,299 (and will take advantage of 24 months interest-free), $29/month 'open plan' ($10/month discount off $39 plan for as long as I like, because I'm coming off prepaid) plus 128 GB card included. I don't think that's a bad deal.

Don't forget that big iPhones are a similar price and I think that stores do sell out on Day 1 (I'm not sure about that though).

Anyone know if the charging stand (genuine) supports fast charging (as fast as if it were connected to an Anker USB Charger)?

this unit calls itself a fast charger and as its 5v-9v i would tend to agree. samsung's fast charge option runs off 9v

We get exynos processor in NZ vs the snapdragon as tested on that website.

Means nothing to nz, we have the exynos variant. In that site your better to compare the s7 (8890) to the note 5.
The note 5 carried exclusive exynos that year due to manufacturer difficulties from qualcomm. The 8890 processor used in both the s7 series and the note 7 carried a roughly 25-30 percent performance increase over the note 5. On top of that the exynos has a faster central processing unit compared to the snapdragon variant, where as the snapdragon has a faster graphics unit. From heavy comparisons however with the s7, it was found that the exynos was significantly faster in real life performance with app loading and caching than the snapdragon.

We always get the exynos variant, as do the rest of the world besides the US. And recently one other country now accomodating the snapdragon.

I assume if it's suitable for S7 Edge, it's suitable for Note 7 too ? Same exact device?

Wireless charging is a standard and Qi is the most commen so it'll be mix and match.

From an androidcentral review:

Of course you'll also find the same wireless charging setup as the last generation, including both Qi (which will you'll find in most chargers) and Powermat (which you'll find at the likes of Starbucks), as well as Samsung's own "Fast Charge" wireless charging — the latter requires a specific charger from Samsung or one of just a handful of other companies, but they've been around long enough that they're easy to find at a good price. And believe me, getting a Fast Charge wireless charger is worth it, especially if you're placing your phone down expecting to get any sort of a quick top-up to the battery.

I'm warming to the design after reading a few glowing reviews. However I'll be after the dual sim version N930FD which is available (currently preorder) at expert infotech.
