Dingbatt: Interesting that you think they are better than the One X ones. I have been so disappointed by the ones that came with my Hero, Desire HD and OneX that I didn't even bother taking the ones that came with my One out of their packaging. Might be worth carrying around as a backup after all.

I wasn't going to bother unwrapping them initially but yeah I was pleasantly surprised. Guess the fact HTC has opted to go big on media required them to put some effort in to earphones for a change.

wlfkfgkwlaktka: Anyone know a good earphone with 3-button inline mic that is compatible with HTC one?
Broke the one that came with the phone

Check out a-jays 5. The company has an excellent reputation. The 5s will be out around the end of August, and they come in several versions - iPhone, Android, Windows...

Nope, mine seems okay (you just test it by using the camera in the dark right?). My camera image looks black when there's no light. I can kind of force the issue if there's just a little bit of very low light, but nothing like what the video shows.
If you're seeing that red tint, it's definitely a faulty unit.

Yeah, I'm still on 4.1.2.
I thought the update was also supposed to bring a small improvement to the camera default settings to improve noise, so it's not impossible that it could also be the cause.

Is the HTC Updater software update the security update?

a lot of people saying that this problem happened after the update (i am one of them too).
hopefully this is a software issue and it will be corrected in the future.

:/ oh dear.  Might be worth factory reseting your Device and see if that helps at all.  Or just change some camera effects ect or even just rebooting the Phone.  All of them can fix common issues.  Just like with Windows "80% of all problems are solved with a restart"

Okay, my 4.2.2 update is available now and I'm downloading.
I pre-ordered mine from from Noel Leeming during the Easter sale, and picked it up I think in June (I believe it was the second wave of stock).
It was advertised as TelecomXT but I'm using it on Vodafone.
