I received this case from amazon last week: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07473W4ZK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.

The pixel is really nice to hold/use without a case, the coated backing is easy to grip, in contrast, my brother's samsung S7 with it's flashy glass back is quite slippery to hold in your hand. And it's really slim, so i was a bit reluctant to put a case on.. But I prefer to carry my cards around with me so I found this one on amazon. Fit's three cards in, not two, but it does bulk up your phone, if carrying cards isn't a priority then a jelly case could be all right. However, certainly make it feel less vulnerable.

I also stocked up on USB-C adapters as they are handy to have when you forget your charger.

As for screen protectors - I don't bother with one, but I saw these on amazon with a curved edge, help remove that annoying edge-line they normally have:

Saw a Pixel 2 XL in person, and was impressed with the screen despite all the negative press. Blue shift was barely noticeable on the unit I saw at least, no more than the red shift on the 6P. Everything else looked fine, the saturation is good, and the image retention doesn't seem to be present.

I've taken the plunge and ordered myself one off Dick Smith. Eagerly awaiting arrival now, should ship tomorrow (Wednesday) but not sure how long it will take to arrive from there.

I got mine 1 week ago when I was in Sydney. love it! just want to know where can I get a spare charger as I think my old Samsung fast charger doesn't support pixel 2 quick charge with USB C adapter?

I bought an 8 port Orico (USB A sockets) charger a couple of years ago which works for the Nexus 6P and the Pixel 2 XL as long as I use the fast charge cable.
It does not "fast charge" the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 though.

Looking forward to it.

Hopefully you have better luck than me. I ordered mine from them on 10/12, it was "dispatched" at 1am on 12/12, then seemed to just sit in the logistics warehouse in Auckland for over a week. It was finally actually picked up on 19/12. I'm hoping I'll see it today, maybe... =/

Mine also "dispatched" (shipped), two days later on the 20th. I'm not entirely sure how to interpret the tracking page, but I'm guessing I could be in the same boat with waiting a while for it to actually turn up.

Once things finally start happening the tracking page will update with a little more info. It certainly seems pretty glacial though :(

One thing of note, is that you may notice your 'KGN' tracking number is reasonably low and numeric... turns out they are just simple incrementing numbers. So you can be cheeky and poke around numbers above and below your own to get a feel for what's going on. If you jump back far enough you might even find something that has shipped, haha :P Good luck!

3 days later they (Google) still hadn't shipped it. I wanted it before Xmas.... So I cancelled my order.

Maybe next time.

PBTech have the 64GB & 128GB up for preorder for $1,399 & $1,598.99

Will be released on 30/12/17

Disappointed with the high prices, I've gone with Expert Infotech instead

Still higher price than Dick Smith, but I had issues calling Dick Smith, their email response was way too slow for my liking
