Hey guys, where can one purchase a 512GB Ultra version at the moment? No one locally seems to have stock.

When I bought my S21 a few weeks back from 2degrees it was not in stock at my local store. They were able to find stock at another store nearby. Not sure how things will work now we're in Level 4, but perhaps you could try phoning and see if they can find one at a retail store somewhere and hold it for you?

Has anybody had problems with the S21 Ultra's primary camera not focusing? My wife's one refuses to focus after opening the camera app about once every three or four times. Tapping to focus, going into pro mode, etc doesn't fix it but closing and reopening the camera app or giving the device a shake does.

Beginning to think it may be a hardware issue as it occasionally also doesn't focus in the COVID tracer app, so doesn't seem to be related just to the camera app. Have also tried resetting the camera app and the phone's software is up to date.

Hold volume down while the phone is turning on and boot into safe mode.
See if it still does this there. If not you can assume it's not hardware.

A family member has an S8 which requires a shake to focus. I believe this means that the camera lens has been dislodged and needs to be shaken back into place.

Hopefully your wife's S21 Ultra can go back in for a warranty claim soon.

Hi,

I'm looking to get the S21+ or the Ultra, I currently have S8 plus.

Can anyone advise whether there is the facility to automatically record all calls and if so, does it allow you to make notes on each call?

Thanks very much

I don't believe recording of calls is available on more recent Android devices.

Even apps won't work, based on my recent experience.

Hmm that's not good. I wonder why the apps don't work?

That confirms it's perfectly legal to record calls, so I don't see the problem?

Only if you have consent from the other party... Given that a recording app would have no way to verify this it seems a sensible course of action by Android et al to prevent this sort of thing. I assume Apple has similar restrictions as well.

Yes this sorry.

API was removed in Android 9.0 (Pie)

This is also why you have to set a default SMS app and not use multiple which pre this was possible.
