Update:
Followed the instructions a kind user linked earlier and I now appear to have VoLTE working (skinny, P7 non-japan from mighty ape)

Phone stays on 4g during phone call

Any word on 5G support?

Not sure on 5g. Haven't looked at enabling it specifically. The part of chc I live in doesn't have 5g coverage but I'll see if I can get it anywhere

I'm parked directly across from a Spark 5G tower in Whanganui and not a blip.

Bugger.

VOLTE now works for my P6P on Kogan

Strangely VOWIFI is still greyed out and disabled in Phone Information

Unsure about 5G as even 4G is spotty in my neighborhood (Kelston, Auckland)

Amazing how long it took Google to sort this out..

As of today I noticed my P7P is now able to connect to 5G on Vodafone in Wellington!

I had been running last quarters beta which gave me VoLTE, now I'm running next quarters beta and apparently I get 5G now! Wohoo finally!!!

Build number is: 13 (T3B1.230224.005)

I'd seen on Reddit that folks on the beta had 5G popping up here now, nice to know it's coming. Not sure I want to shift onto beta however lol.

I see the P7 is on sale at the Google store in the US for $449 at the moment.  I have  friend over there now and maybe might pick one up. I am on Vodafone via Kogan so I expect if I install the beta I should get VoLTE and 5GZ. Is VoLTE available on the GA release?

I had done the work-around previously mentioned in the other thread to get VoLTE + VoWIFI enabled. After updating to the latest patch last night I still have VoLTE enabled, but not VoWIFI for Vodafone. So I'm assuming then VoLTE is now enabled for P7P for Vodafone?

I picked up a pixel 7 pro a few days ago and installed latest beta update.

Can confirm 5g on spark with volte, no where in settings does it mention vowifi though.

Cheers

I am trying so very hard to not install the betas lol. I hate having to reset my phone, I must be getting old.

A13 is now mainline and released. Stability is not a concern imo.

Yeah, andoid is pretty mature now days, similar to ios betas.

I also hate resetting on my phone, but hopefully won't need to for a while.

I'm also running 2 sims, work physical sim on spark and personal esim on spark.

Hope WiFi calling appears one day, not to fussed though.

Do Android phones that haven't been reset for a few years work faster / better after reset? I'm considering doing that with my pixel 4a, to tide me over until I get a Pixel 8 or similar.
