Social Bitcoin meetup every 2 weeks in Hamilton PM me for details
grazy:Glengus: It has arrived and the blue does look worth the wait!
Yes it sure does, Vodafone Westfield Riccarton in CHC had 11 units in their glass cabinet early today, the guy even opened one to show me, so NL ones are not too far away they said 5 to 7 working days today Monday 11th is day 5.
cokeman2: its been a few days with my sgs 3 now
i love the notification light incredibly useful .also the smart stay on , is great for reading /browsing the web ...
the larger screen and superb quality of its great :)

lokhor: Can someone who purchased their S3 from Telecom and has a bit of technical nous please send me the customer.xml file located in /system/csc/
Wade:dakie: Looking at upgrading my 4S for the S3 (for the increased screen size) Can anyone tell me if they have setup GPS navigation for this and what App they are using?
I currently use Tomtom app for the 4s so was hoping there was something similar. I have conflicting reports that the Navigon is available and free.
Sygic for Android is a product that is very similar to TomTom, and I am sure if you like TomTom you will be happy enough with Sygic, it comes at a cost but as far as Android navigation apps go it is probably one of the better ones
Depending on how you like to spend your money another option is to use the Google Maps navigation, it is free, integrated into the android platform and works well. The trade off is it uses data instead of having the maps stored locally
I have Sygic but never tend to use it in favour of the built in google maps nav

I am using CoPilot live with NZ maps...It is free to use but you have to buy license if you need to use voice turn-by-turn directions...I have loaded NZ maps and it runs without internet connection....Does Sygic use internet connection???

Why do you need it? My colleague has one from Telecom and he is sitting beside me.

Rang Noel Leeming Tory St?just now and they're still saying middle of the month...not sure if this is their standard line or the truth.
Seems odd if other retailers have them already and they're all being sourced from the one supplier.

To see if it affects fast dormancy

NL is source from the same supplier(BrightPoint) as JB Hifi and Vodafone NZ. But I think NL getting lower priority than JB or Vodafone or they are just playing Jedi mind tricks to make you confuse like me.
I am no less confused and frustrated as you my friend. The 16GB is available with JB store but their Online site still saying Awaiting Stock. So does the 32GB version. And NL only have a few to send out to their preordered customers in May and do not have any solid date on when it will arrived other than 16-18 June as a guestimate ETA. Those date can easily be slipped toward July or August or even to the year 2020. All we can do is wait and meditate our patience looking forward to Friday to decide our S3 destiny.
To see if it affects fast dormancy
I tried disabled dormancy on my S2 and I found that it drain more battery and data will not automatically reconnected after I disable my wifi. It stopped function completely that I have to reboot to get data to reconnect. Not sure if this would really worth disabling.

IntegerIsNumber: May be the results are vary. I have tried and it drain the battery much faster than usual. So I enabling it and it seems to be okay. I can live with Dormancy enabled.
