CyberN3rds: I found this post on The Verge.  http://www.theverge.com/2013/10/31/5052342/every-htc-one-in-north-america-will-have-android-kitkat-within-90-days  At least this proves HTC is still working hard to bring the updates.

Bring it on for the Google Play edition!  I wonder if we will get some Nexus 5 features, like the low power audio playback?

How long will it take until we get updates here?

^^^ how long has 4.3 been out officially and we are yet to receive, i suspect a similar timeframe

One thing to keep in mind though is it really looks like HTC are winning the update race when you compare One to S4 which is good, they are obviously invested in giving One users the premium experience

'Unlocked' editions will always get their updates faster than the carrier variants which require additional testing. The speed at which the 4.3 updates, 3.2x and now 3.6x have been released is really impressive considering the amount of work required to bring Sense onto each new base.

I'm starting to wonder if we'll see some carriers skip 4.3 in favour of 4.4.

Any owners of a Telecom branded One got their firmware upgrade preparing for next week's 4G launch?

I am one of many waiting for the update. Something tells me it won't arrive on time... hope I am proven wrong!

I haven't received it yet, although I've seen 4G in mine when using with a Vodafone SIM. I guess this device wasn't locked?

I've been following that, will be good to play around with Windows on the One but for now I have something better...

Just got this booting up a few minutes ago, built from source with some CM device commits. Also using the GEL from the Nexus 5 dump. The 'Launcher3' AOSP launcher is the same but with swipe right for Google Now and has the old JB icons.

The reason for that was the Google Play Services that had to installed from the N5 factory image to get things working. I removed it when I was on 4.3 and then was prompted to install a newer version from the Play Store which fixed the battery drain for me.

Everything on my 4.4 build is working perfectly except the IR. Going to enable ART and see what kind of difference that makes.
