Is it a Telecom sourced One?

Is it a Telecom sourced One?

If it is a Telecom One, it needs a firmware update. Which means waiting until HTC push it out. That's assuming Telecom have actually approved it for release. It should have been done a month ago. Epic fail by Telecom.

As far as installing something, only a non Telecom rom will achieve what you're after.

When I first got my One, I had a spare Vodafone sim in it. I can't remember exactly, but I think on first boot it was a generic rom with no Telecom branding. However when I put my main Telecom sim in it, I was asked if I wanted to select the carrier settings from the sim. Stupidly I selected yes. I wonder what would have happened if I had stuck with no....

So not mobile network options as well? That's a relief. I would hate to think I could have avoided the embarrassment of my colleague at the next desk able to get Telecom 4G on his S4 when I can't, by just selecting a different option on initial bootup

I forgot to thank you for this. It did indeed prove that my One isnt crippled. In fact there is an app available on the Play Store (called LTE setting) that effectively brings up the same page as dialling the above code. Holds the Auto GSM/WCDMA/LTE setting until I reboot the phone. I don't feel left out of the 4G goodness now.

Note: The app warns about not changing settings lest you lose network connection. Caveat Emptor

Were you just after a way to turn on LTE auto mode? You can do that in the stock phone settings, you don't need a third party app:

Go to Settings => Mobile Data => Network Mode => choose the "GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto" option

There IS no single international ROM...what is the build number of the one you're after?

The Telecom rom is the same as the VF rom. There are specific carrier settings for each of the networks contained in it though. The LTE option is disabled with a Telecom SIM which is the reason an update is required.

I posted CWM flashable zips of 2.24.980.2 and its recovery earlier in the thread and marked it as an answer but somebody has cleared it. You'll have to do some searching about 20 pages back.

If you can find them and then flash rom then recovery you'll get further ota updates.
