So a colleague of mine ordered about 10 minutes after I did ( i ordered at 7:04) on Friday morning.

My UPS tracking number says "Last LOcation: Portland , Oregon .....Scheduled Delivery Monday 4th End Of Day"

His one : "Last Location: Hodgkins, Illinois, .....Schedule Delivery Thursday 7th End Of Day"

Strange, since mine went straight from Louisville, Kentucky to Portland Or.

But what's really strange:

His package weight : 1 lbs

mine: 1.9 lbs

That's quite a big diff.

I'll get pinged an extra $4.75 by youshop for the extra 500 g...and he won't :(

Weird, my last location is still Lousville, KY since it only shipped today but it's showing up as 1.00lb as well. I got the 16GB white, which model did you get?

I bought one in the first ten minutes. It will be delivered by Monday 4th in the US. As I posted on the news article, I got the US version as 4G isn't really relevant in NZ at the moment and won't be till the Nexus 6 comes out anyway (right?) DC HSPA+ is fast enough for me anyway! Using an iPhone 4S at the moment and cannot wait for a change. Anyone else in the same boat as me?

I am in a similar boat. Of the two smartphones I have owned both have been iphones (4 and 5). After iOs7 update (backdate) I started to loose faith and after seeing a mates Nexus 4 a few weeks ago I decided to make the break. I will have to repurchase a few apps but think I will be ok. The biggest attraction is a bigger screen. I have been doing a bit of travel for work recently and watching TV shows on my iphone is really not the greatest experience.

Mine is still on the way to Oregon. Fingers crossed it is on its way to NZ by the end of the week. Maybe next Thursday or Friday it will arrive?

Yep, he ordered a white 16 GB for his wife. I'm a guy and ordered the same :)

But I ordered at 7:07 AM NZDT ....he ordered his at around 7:20.

Lots of people are having different weights (either 1 or 1.9) on :

They're speculating that the first few hundreds of buyers will get something extra (maybe a bunch of kitkats , or Wireless chargers)

Hopefully not food...as that's prohibited and they'll have to dismantle the package.

As for Customs Duty ....YES, Customs will take into account the BOTH shipping US-US and US-NZ

I emailed Youshop earlier and here's the reply :

Scuks about the customs charges! That sounds pretty cool for you though. I ordered a bit later as well as I was in two minds. Initially ordered the 16GB then cancelled and ordered the 32GB. I may have missed out on the possible bonus goodies! :(

It seems like the packages coming out of Hodgkins are all 1 lbs.
