ArtooDetoo:nofam:ArtooDetoo: 5 minutes in and 60% of the download completed...
I'm pretty confident it'll be fine. . . .;-)
The tension is unbearable. . . . .
Mine is at least... awaiting the capsule to exit the 'no signal' zone...
Re-entry completed, chutes are open and SPLASHDOWN!!!
And the bloody Google widget is back. Grrrr...

nofam: So no apparent issues with your IMEI or APN settings etc?
ArtooDetoo:
Welcome home, and how was the run? (Not that I could identify in any material sense...)

ArtooDetoo:nofam: So no apparent issues with your IMEI or APN settings etc?
Short answer is no. In fact for the first time for me in Froyo, Telecom and 2Degrees are showing up with their names, not their region codes. All is good with my system settings. Apps, not so much. I'll update on that...
If there's any system functionality missing, I'll report it as I find it.
Now if I can stop my Mac Pro from crashing in the middle of posting, I'll post with fewer pauses.
Gotta sort that out.
Good luck to all those who update in the next few days, (and why wouldn't ya?).
Cheers,
R2D2
Neets:
My question is why would you move from the Doc Rom to the official Vodafone Froyo release? Do you think it's an equal to the speed and performance of the Doc Rom?
Personally I don't have any quibbles about the Doc Rom I'm on and not sure there's anything to gain by reverting back to (for me, Optus) a carriers version of Froyo.
mckenndk: I don't know where people thought the vodafone branding was coming from as it was not on the phone when I bought it and not after flashing it either.
Main issues I have had so far is that I had to setup my email again and there is no option to stop the phone checking email between certain times that I can find.
The main problem I have is the lack of mobile coverage inside buildings in Greytown, which has always been a problem.
