My portenzo case turned up this week. I got the elastic + magnets + intellistand. Apart from a few heartstopping cracking sounds as I was using the stand for the first time it's been really great :)

Great deal. I had planned on getting one from Google but since it would be shipped to a friend in CA who would bring it back, with tax and shipping it was going to be US$229. That's about NZ$282. So paying about $37 more for getting it locally is well worth it.

That was good of NL. They would have had a bit of wriggle room to avoid honouring their "Price Promise" as the red alert deals aren't really "regular, in-stock items from a local retailer" as it is online only, and online retailers are excluded.

testha: Noel Leeming has the 32GB at $439 preorder and the 16GB dropped to $359.

I can see the 32GB variant has been added to Pricespy.  $425 from Playtech.

Seems like I got quite a good deal from purchasing mine in Hong Kong seeing as I paid approx $388 according to my CC statement.

It looks like it is coming in at the same price as the original Nexus. I also got one for the wife from the Warehouse. Pretty nifty size wise. I got a case from here. I will post a small review on the case when it turns up.

Cheers, Matt.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

I just got mine from the warehouse also. It has one strange problem. The charger supplied won't charge the unit but will charge my Galaxy Nexus and the GN charger charges the N7. Guess it's not worth worrying about.

I got the notification for 4,2 update but I might hold off and see how it works with 4.1 since it's my wife's machine and is not so set on having the latest Android so long as Youtube works okay :-)

The charger that came with mine, oops I mean the wifes was extremely slow to charge the N7 yesterday. It did charge it but it took most of the afternoon. I updated to 4.2. I can't see any reason not to. It gives you a swype type keyboard.

Cheers.
