timmmay: That marketing blurb is full of it.
A brilliant 4.5-inch HD display - the sharpest in its class - which goes edge-to-edge so you can enjoy movies, photos, video chats and more.
It has a huge bezel sides, top, and bottom which I find pretty ugly.
The newest Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor featuring a quad-core CPU for seamless multitasking and enjoying the web, videos and games, with all-day battery life.
The newest midrange processor. It's decent.
Stylish design with a comfortable curved back.
Disagree with the stylish part. It's better than most cheap phones, but it's not stylish IMHO.

Introducing Moto G in New Zealand
People all around the world want to be a part of the mobile Internet so they can access the world’s information, share, and connect with the things that matter to them. Pricing and Availability
Moto G will be available at national retailers Harvey Norman and JB Hi-fi from 21st January 2014 for the exceptional price of $299RRP. It will also be available from 2degrees stores in early February.
Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

Great news, but will they offer both models 8GB and 16GB
What Puzzles me is the news article refers to the 16G model so is that going to be the $299 price
No one at my local H.N. new a thing about.
I don't know if this has been posted before but Motorola do a nice coloured flip case.

Quote: Moto G owners also get an extra 50GB of Google Drive storage free for two years to safely keep and share photos, documents and other files (that's on top of the standard 15GB). That’s a total of 65GB! With that much space.

Just realised who was posting! guessing you are after technical details and not validation that there is dual SIM on board.
- Dual SIM support gives you the option to use the network that makes sense for who and where you’re calling and texting or combine your work and personal devices into one.
Try Vultr using this link and get us both some credit:
NZtechfreak: Man, awesome it's coming here. Wonder where the 'only WP is worth it at the low end' folks are gonna go crying to now.

They will be happy with saving $70 odd and getting a 520! Or they could spend another $50 at 2 degrees and get an ATIV s with SD card support and an HD screen scratch that, the ATIV S can't really compete it only offers an SD card, .3" bigger screen and slightly better camera. This is a lot of Android for the price though. Glad to have Motorola back with a vengeance.
