robfish: The battery is awesome too. I unplugged mine yesterday before work. Tonight it still had 35% left.
Good point! Took mine off the charger at 2pm yesterday. Went away for the night and left it on all night. Used it a bit for photos, mucking about, spotify etc. - at 17% at 9pm tonight. My S6E would be on 65% by the time I got to work in the morning! :)
Sheagae: Yeah it just says collected in Auckland since Friday.
A shame about the charger. I wonder why they can't get the Australian version that Google sells over there.
I was wondering about the Aussie version myself. Oh well - as I said, a pair of pliers to bend the prongs and it works fine :)
indapie2000: I ordered the panda B&W XL 2 from Google in the US last week, and it's on the way here via YouShop (dreading the GST but it's the only place I could get the panda version!!!)
Just wondering what type of cases and screen protectors you guys have/recommend? I'd like to have a case that's slim (mainly protect from scratches as I don't plan to drop it) and possibly see-through (so I can admire the B&W design.
Wanna be prepared when it eventually arrives :D
hopefully you dont run into problems since youshop has restrictions regarding lithium ion batteries

How'd you buy off the US Google store? Wouldn't let me when I tried? Any tricks or tips? Or did it just work like any online shopping site?

Admittedly I'm coming from a two year old Nexus 6P which would lose a percent every couple of minutes doing the same activities, but I don't think that phone was nearly this good even when it was fresh out of the box.
Totally satisfied with my purchase. The off-axis blue shift is certainly there (and a bit disappointing given the price of the phone) but I can't say I notice it during normal use.
