lokhor: Looks like I'll need to sort a spare phone before I send it in then.

seaphorm: How long has it been since you sent it in?

Only a couple of days back. They told me it would be either repaired or replaced within a couple of weeks.

Received the system updates (including Sense 6) on my One today.
Cosmetic changes, but nice regardless

Details of your One would be helpful (parallel import vs local, carrier etc).

+ details of how you knew it was available, how you received it (OTA?) etc etc. Your post raises more questions than it answers.

Sorry, fair points!
On Voda, but parallel imported handset.
Was an OTA update, just noticed the 'update is available' notification was up this morning.

Great to get those points sorted. Is it the standard European firmware? Something along the lines of X.XXX.401.XX.

You say the changes are only cosmetic but I will be keen to hear what you think of the new skin once you've had a chance to use it for a bit. Those of us on NZ ROMs will probably have a little while to wait so it kind of makes it easier if there isn't anything earth shattering in the update.

Has anyone with a Vodafone NZ model received the Sense 6 update yet?

Either these phones are tough or I was very lucky! whenever my my 20mo sees my phone lying around she grabs it and brings it to me as a courtesy, no problem, yesterday for whatever reason she decided to throw it to me whilst i was in the kitchen, first thing i knew was hearing the phone hit the ceramic tiles, somehow the phone come out of it with just the smallest of abrasions on the corner of the aluminium body

They are quite tough in terms of breaking, I have dropped mine several times (before I got a replacement) and only had minor scratches on the body. Unfortunately the body that makes it so tough is what gets scratched very easily so it ends up looking pretty bad after a while.

^^ True, it has its fair share of very minor nicks around the edge of the aluminium body...

Have to say though, this is by far my favourite handset yet, an M8 would be nice but in reality the M7 still does everything i want and need, i had never had a phone that i still liked after 6 mths, especially a stock standard android (granted i am running GPe not Sense) yet 12mths on I'm still more than happy with the One

Hopefully that sorts some of the battery drain issues from google play services. I have pretty awful battery drain. Unfortunately Better Battery Stats etc don't work with 4.4.2 unless you have root :(
