@networkn I agree, I think one of the problems is that some people are expecting somewhat the same as their dumb phone.

I have 2 batteries and a charger so just change them over as required. I actually find the S3 better than the S2 for battery life and don't expect the S4 to be anything different.

@Asrafrate what exactly are expecting and what other phone is there in the top end smart range that is very good with battery life?

Have to agree with Networkn on this. I can see why battery life is important if you buy an iPhone or HTC One etc which dont have inter changeable batteries, but with the S3 for example it takes 50 seconds ( I just timed it) to put a fresh battery in. If the genuine Samsung batteries are a bit expensive for the average punter then even a clone battery will give good results while it is newish.

Asrafrate: I'd be tempted if they did something about the battery :/

Beast like that is going to be power hungry.

But then, these are un-official. Things can change.

A review for a 4 - 5 days battery life for an S3, I wouldnt be surprised if they do it for the S4, S5 etc - all for the price of $33.00 from amazon.

Here is the link to the review etc. Pity aboot the weird semi candian accent eh? http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/04/14/samsung-galaxy-s3-extended-battery-delivers-4-days-of-battery-life/ This would make a smart phone worth having.

4.6 out of 5 stars on Amazon.

Makes it look like the brick my father in law used to carry around 10 years ago. Pass.

I'd rather carrying around 1-2 2600Mah Batteries and use them as required or a portable charger.

Its not that fat. Besides, a charger and two batteries? I work from a van a lot, lots of time on the road doing network installs etc. The chargers working from a cig lighter dont charge as well as 240v versions. I used a 12-240 invertor but still not as good a charge as mains.  I too have two batteries but even with the biggest ones possible in the S5560 the life is less than my working day unless i turn off Wifi, BT, GPs etc.

With the zero lemon it doesnt look much worse than the compaq ipaq (what a beautiful machine that was) to carry.

Like your dad I had a brick 15 years ago. It came in handy for reaching high places, hammering in nails etc. After doing that it would still let you make calls and heat up your pie without using a microwave. Beat that S3 / S4 / IPhone5 :)

Off topic i know but - you started it :)

I seriously wonder at companies that use FB / Twitter for advertising and promotions. I doubly wonder at the peope who sign up to be sent advertising .. ops sorry ... offers.

It has to be one of the dumbest things a company can do. By doing the launch on facebook you reduce your potetial client list. Sure advertise the launch on Twitter / FB but dont exclude those who do not use FB or T*.
All FB and T* should do is link back to an open, online, everybody welcome launch site. .. or is it possible they only do the lauch on FB so people have to sign up to receive yet more crappy advertising? Hmmm. JAT.

I am totally with you on that and by no means I am saying that Samsung is doing the right or wrong thing. I just mentioned what I saw and thought it is a different thing. It may appeal to some but not to others like any other thing.

...Queens Birthday...

By the time that Vodafone make their offering available for pre-order, it'll probably be a Labour Weekend deal!

So glad that I'm not holding my breath while I wait for Vodafone to start preordering.

Probably the only people with Galaxy S4 phones connected to Vodafone on the 27th April will be Vodafone employees.

It's fairly startling how few retailers have these on offer yet. I know they are in the country.

Yes. I can't see any retailers who have it or any indication of pricing other than RRP.

Am I blind? I can't see a price? I had hoped some retailers might sell it less than RRP :)

Is only white going to be available on release day do you know? If so I am going to cry.
