You're comparing sale prices to RRP though, which isn't really a fair comparison. Lumia 520 RRP is $199; for what it's worth the Huawei Ascend G300 RRP was $299 on release in 2012. The Y320 is still available at major retailers at $149, but it's truly low-low end - I'd argue that the specs are so low that it renders it useless as a smartphone.

They will be happy with saving $70 odd and getting a 520! Seems that the comments on http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2181867&p=16 that its not a cheap phone at all.

It mentions that JB HiFi has them over there but nothing on there web site.

And it seems that Jan 21 is the date for a number of countries.

Seems like its being shipped as a none carrier branded phone by http://www.brightstarcorp.com/

So unless there is a TV advert no one seems to know.

It seems the stores that are supposed to have this phone on shelves tomorrow have no idea about it...bit of a concern!

My local 2degrees said they'll have it Feb 3rd for the 8gb, dual sim model. Standard $299 pricing.

Thanks, wonder if that means the 16gb will unavailable or if available, priced at $350, in which case...it's off to youshop!

Just don't think I could handle 8gb! I'm always running out of space on my Trophy....

agree 100%, and no microSD slot? That is the killer for me. Sure, you get 8gb + 50gb google drive. But, 3g charges for 50gb would be thousands and you got buy yourself a whole bunch of iphones and high end androids for the cost of data in a couple of months.
