I've got an HTC-1M8 running on 4.4.3 having been updated OTA. My original HTC-One is running 4.4.2: is there an OTA update to 4.4.3 for the HTC-One's? I keep checking on wifi but keeps getting No update available for your phone".

I was on Telecom-now-Spark but am now on Vodafone, so I don't have a SIM card in the HTC-One. I assume the OTA updates are managed and controlled by the service providers?

OTA updates are managed and rolled out by the phone manufacturer, they just send them to the network operators to test to make sure they work on the network.

If your phone was originally from Telecom, it will continue to receive updates at the same time as other Telecom units, regardless of the SIM you put in it. :)

This.
So you just need Wi-Fi. There is a hold up with the NZ/AU M7s because VF AU found a bug and sent it back to HTC. No revised ETA as yet.

So I just checked my phone (spark) and the 4.4.3 update has appeared. I have a bit of work to do putting the stock recovery etc back and doing a nandroid before installing though. At least I'll download it.

Funny thing is I just checked the VF AU support page and they are still showing it as waiting for feedback from HTC.

Anyway I am installing the update, but it is like watching paint dry.

a) they could be just a bit slow to update their web page or b) the other carriers might still have approved it for release. Updates *can* be released carrier by carrier, remember.

Fwiw, I've got no update showing for my VF NZ M7. I know that VF have a centralised testing lab for the Asia/Pacific region, so it's possible that a red flag from VF AU could also delay update rollout VF NZ also.

Right. All done. Rocking 6.11.980.7 now. Had to re-enable root and Xposed but all seems okay now.
