Yeah my display is at 91%

If you select display it gives you the actual usage time as well.

Shows 02:05:55 as at the time I tapped.

I have 68% battery remaining after 17+ hours which would suggest close to 30 hours to flat at its current draw (little pun there), but there'll be 7 hours of SFA in that mix so I figure it'll be closer to 35. We'll see in the morning I expect.

Cheers,

LGgt540 running 2.1
Battery 70% at the moment but would normally be about 50-60% by now.
Wifi on all day at home, data on 14-15 hours a day. I turn wifi off and data on when I get in the car at 5.45am and swap them again at 8-9pm when I get home (except today, got ear infection).
Auto sync on.
Display only 1h37mins today, If I was at work it would be about 3-4hrs.
Games like angry birds, pocket racer lite for maybe an hour or 2... Laputa for 45mins
Built in FM radio or powerAMP on for at least 2 hours a day.
Live wallpaper, Twidroyd, email, bluetooth running 24/7.
Only had the battery at 15% once and that was the day Google Navigation went live :D
Bought a 12-24v charger for my car/truck so when I do have to nav a bit, it wont leave me stranded. Used it on that fateful launch day and that's it.
Probably only 15mins of calls and 30 texts a day.
Lots of playing with settings and apps though, I have 7 home screens!

I can't remember where to get all the stats from.  I've used SGS Toolbox but I'm not seeing what I've seen in the past where it says how many hours since it was last plugged in.

I think it was 9pm last night when I unplugged the phone and I'm at 66%.

I have turned Wifi off and Data off during the day unless I'm at home then I switch Wifi back on.  I've done that becuase I'm trying to save my 3G 100mb quota while I'm out of town later this week.

I agree that Wifi is probably the biggest cause of battery drain.

I don't have any games on my phone.  Not sure what all the buzz is there. I don't have time :-)

If I want to speed up the drain on my battery (to recalibrate the battery stats) then I'll put sensor up to full and set a video playing.

Currently the brightness is set at auto.

I've only had about 5 text messages today and no phone calls.

Go to settings> about phone> battery use. You can select the different things such as display to view more.

Right now, 60%  I think I was about 62% when I typed that.

I've dropped close to 10% since leaving work and getting home firing up wifi.  Oh, and then on wifi Gmail is set to synch.

Twitter and Facebook set to refresh every 60 minutes.

My SGS has been up for 21 hours and shows 51% remaining battery.

I usually stick it on charge about 10pm and unplug it before I hit the sack at 11.30-ish. Tonight I'll let it run down overnight and see what shape it's in at 7am or thereabouts. Should be educational.

Cheers,

I am now at 27% after 13h52m23s with the following statistics:

Display 92% with 3h30m Time On
Cell Standby 5% 0% time without signal
Phone Idle 2% 10h21m Time On

my Battery history shows
Other Usage
Since Last Unplugged
Running 39.1%
Screen on 25.4%
Wifi On 12.8%
Wifi Running 12.5%

This is exceptionally good for me. I think because I have been turning 3g off when not using it at work.

I think it is quite sad that you basically have to cripple your phone to get half decent battery life. I'd like to have push email setup (autosync) and not have to worry about battery life. What's the point of a smart-phone if you don't get your emails right away?

I'd have my emails arriving on the fly if I didn't have the pathetic 100MB VF data cap that I'm stuck with. 3.3MB per day is laughable when you take into account how graphically rich most websites are, let alone the html emails I get bombarded with. I think 500MB a month would be more realistic, but I'm not holding my breath.

The battery life is secondary to my meagre data allowance in my decision to keep 3G off as much as poss.

BTW, your 03:30 screen time is pretty good lokhor. Better than you thought, huh? Could get close to 4 hours...

Cheers,
R2D2

I have 1gb from 2degrees for $20. Yeah I think I could have reached 4 hours but I wanted to flash a new kernel so i'm backing everything up. Titanium backup uses ~4% just to backup all my apps.

45% at 5:38.  Read some email and went into the Internet last night and then read some email this morning.  Wifi was on all the time.  Obviously I wasn't using the phone during my sleep :-)

I thought I was the only one keeping tabs on my piddly 3.3mb/day limit.  It's refreshing to see others have to keep a tight reign on it too.

36% remaining at 7:15. Screen up for 03:41 at that time. So it looks like screen time will be its usual 4hrs+ when the battery hits 15%. An interesting factoid (for me, YMMV... Smile) is that voltage is 3.8v which seems good to me - I was expecting low 3s at this stage of discharge, so nothing wrong with the battery Sammy sells us, I think.

As of now, the phone's been up for 31.5 hours since unplugged. Can't remember if the charge level was 100% at that time, but I'll assume it was. Normally is.

Yes Neets, the fabulously generous VF data cap. Brilliant, isn't it? Some day when I get a minute, I'll look up the iPhone plans to see what they get, and if it's significantly better, I'm going to have a moan at VF CR.

Meantime, I'm going to do some surfing on the web with the Galaxy and read some emails.

Cheers,
R2D2

I thought I'd check the battery voltage too.  While I watched it jumped from 3.8 to 3.75 and back up again.  Not sure why.  Now 42%  @ 36hrs 30m.
