Just reading some S6 owners comments (on xda) about a pinkish hue in low light/night camera shots. Not all phones seem to be affected but having gone through the pink saga with my M7 I would be keen to know if anybody that has an S6 here has noticed anything. One of the main reasons I am tending away from the M9 towards the S6 is because of the camera.

I am using Vodafone Gold edge on Spark.
Is it better if I flash the spark official rom on it?
Are there any specific carrier setting I might be missing?

Mate had his S6 replaced due to purple dots on the lens. He'd noticed them on pics taken in low light. Same pattern in all pics. Didn't notice them until recently as all of his initial pics were taken on bright clear sunlight days. Didn't even need to take a pic. Focus on white paper showed the dots. Local Voda branch replaced on the spot. Checked mine and all clear.

Spark don't support fast dormancy , HD Voice and HS-Fach (something correct me if I am wrong but they did not last time I checked) but these feature are enabled on the Vodafone NZ network so will be enabled on the VFNZ ROM

So you are missing out on many features that the handset supports

Good to know there were no quibbles about replacing the handset. It would appear to be a manufacturing/quality control issue. My concern is that it was akin to the problem that the M7 had where the sensor was affected over time by the internal heat of the phone. Just something to add to the list of tests to be performed on a new handset as soon as it comes out of the box.

I think though for the average user of a smartphone  these feature don't matter as long as you can call and access Facebook so it doesn't matter where the phone was bought from..

My phone has Spark ROM on it but I am using a vodafone simcard.
I would like to try this HD voice feature if it really does improve the voice call quality significantly.

I will have to flash vodafone ROM in order to use this feature.
Can anyone comment whether it's worth it? If the voice quality only slightly improves, then I won't bother.
Thanks

These features are related to call quality and data performance and battery life

Presso: Still pretty impressed with mine , Getting a good solid days use out of it before it goes on the charger at night. Must look into getting the wireless charger cause its a real effort to have to plug something in.

Hows everybody else's going ???

I'm also getting a day's use out of mine, and more - because I got the wireless charger for the phone. Seriously easy to just lift or place the phone on the charger and I'm loving it - particularly as I have a desk job so getting up and going around is pretty convenient. Couldn't recommend it more, although the official charger is a bit dear.

Don't suppose I could get someone with this problem to take and upload a photo? I checked my phone but couldn't really see anything, but then again I don't really know what I'm looking for haha

In low light situations areas that should be black or very dark show a purple hue. Cover the lens, take a picture, look for purple. The thread I was reading compared photos taken by an iPhone 6 and an S6 (with the fault) at the same time to prove there was a problem.
In the case of my M7, it was so obvious I didn't need to take a photo, you could see it on the screen.

Spigen Clear View slim case .. cheap and best protection.
The Samsung Clear View case is expensive and there are reports of it scratching the screen on xda.

Does the wireless charging work ok through a case , I know it may be a stupid question however last thing I would want is to be taking the case off and on to charge it.
