I treat my devices pretty well, I don't understand the people at work who go through broken phones all the time.

Same. At the same time, I don't baby it, it's a tool for me. It does what I do, and goes where I go. I am careful not to stick it in pockets with keys and don't put it face down. I don't care about the back particularly.

Still "preparing order." Was hoping to get it this week but not looking like it now. Good things come to those who wait!

Same, I just treat stuff with respect, whether it's mine, or a work device, or someone elses.  Accidents happen, but if they're happening to you every year then they're no longer accidents.

Heh, that reminds me of a saying I heard during a talk at a conference.. If you meet 3 aholes in a day, you are the problem.

Haha, certainly getting a bit impatient now but at least the case and screen protectors I've ordered have arrived so am all set. I asked for an update on Samsung's live chat but they basically said the order is with the dispatch team and they don't have any update until there's a tracking number.

Random query for those that may have moved from s23 to s24.

What has been your personal everyday experience with battery life performance.?

There are a lot of youtube videos but nice to know from regular users.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Yesterday I used mine very heavily and a lot of gaming as I was home sick and went to bed at just before 12am with 63% remaining.

Battery is pretty good, anecdotally a bit better than my S23 Ultra.  I'm never that far from a charger though, so I wouldn't know what my actual battery life is as I've never got close to dropping below 10%.

Got my precious yesterday and while setting it up this morning, my S23U also got sold, talk about timing!

Got the free case and screen protector as part of pre-order to tide me over until I find new cases, let the case hunting begin!

I am those that looks after my phone, but not sure if I am babying it, just so that there are no dents or scratches, making it easier to offload for a good price later on, which is why I always have a case on it. I'd take the phone out of the case from time to time to admire its build though.

I'm looking for a case which will hopefully be as unnoticable as possible, soley to resolve the issue with the camera bump. It's not a protection thing.

Had saved this in my wish list on Ali, not sure if this is what you are looking for, it's individual camera cutouts:

or one with corrugated style:

Try Pitaka cases, very minimal...

Original Samsung Swipe gestures are back, thank God. You need Goodlock Navstar with latest updates, then go back to Navigatipn Bar settings and voila they are back again! Now once Vivid display update is out this will be the perfect device if not already!

$70USD for a case is... confronting.

Hehe makes no sense to many as I'm like you, spend thousands on a phone but can't get myself to spend anything over 50 bucks for a case 😂

Well, the phone is a highly technical device with considerable number of components, software and warranty and support.

The case is... Moulded plastic.
