lofreq: hi all, this is mainly for the benefit of telecom sgs i9000T users
[edited to save a bit of space]
just wanted to share my experience for the likes of Shrapnel and defragger and other XT users who might be stuck or frustrated - i recommend the links in this post for alot of what i have described http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=97&topicid=74830
good luck!
nofam: Anyone using the Gingerbread keyboard .apk? I was quite skeptical about how they'd improve the standard Android keyboard, but I have to say it's better in just about every respect.
Not sure if I'm ready to give up Swype yet though!
Neets:
Nice write up. I'm sure this will help the Telecom users. If nothing else, to show it can be done, and what they're missing out on ;-)
defragger: Awesome info there lofreq. Much appreciated.
Will definitely help users like myself who are just getting into the custom rom scene.
nofam: Doc is calling for CSC's to be submitted so he can add them to the kitchen at some stage, so can someone on the I9000T Froyo please extract the system directory from cache.rfs and upload it on XDA?
(@Neets - perfect time to sneak your OPS one in there too?)

Nice one. I piped up confirming the link and then when I viewed my post (at the end) I saw someone had already requested it. Back to my corner now :)

Awesome - I see someone else had beat my VNZ post too, but the more the merrier! I'm still not convinced that the CSC matters two hoots, but for the sake of completeness it'll be nice to have it correct.
Did you come down to Wanaka for the race?
