also confused about your battery life defragger - with JPA and a full day out i came home after bdo with 76% battery left. i even turned the screen up to 80% for sunlight legibility with sunnies on. perhaps try a different rom than criskelo's in conjunction with your JPA modem. i had lesser performance on JPY modem.

also, have u "re-trained" the phone's battery stats? after my first flash from eclair my battery was rubbish, but then after a 'reset' it was perfect.

by 'retrain'/'reset', what im talking about is, use phone until totally dead (turns off by itself), remove battery for 60sec, replace and charge to full while off, remove battery for 60sec, replace and reboot.

i dont know if there is any science to that voodoo or if the equivalent of that is just wiping battery stats using something like CWM recovery, but i did it the discharge-remove-recharge-remove method twice now and success each time. so i cant help but suggest you try it.

The drain, recharge thing is supposed to be the fix. In CWM under advanced there's an option to reset battery. So after you do the charge, drain, charge dance, go into CWM and then reset the battery.

I always flash with my battery at 100% and when I remember, reset the battery stats. I remembered today :-D

Neets: What launcher are you using? Is there a setting in there that allows for scrollable wallpaper?
Sounds like your modem isn't suitable for NZ. I'm not familiar with the rom you've flashed. Is there any other modems you can flash? I'm using JPY and I've never had a problem.

Using TWLauncher. Lofreq has been using the JPA modem successfully on XT so don't know why I'm getting this issue. Was getting the same problem on my stock ROM before I flashed my phone. I am hoping its not hardware related :S Might flash a new modem if this keeps failing.

lofreq: i was randomly getting this wallpaper problem after going to 2.2.1 also. after flashing darky's rom i had 2 launchers and a launcher selector (ADWlauncher or modified Touchwiz) and swapping between the two seemed to "fix" the windowframe from the rectangle in your screenshot, to the correct sized one. i couldnt tell you what happened, it just seemed stuck with the wrong sized frame, then after switching bck and forth to the other launcher and trying to reset the wallpapers, it fixed itself??? i read somewher that this may be a bug somewhere with the default box ratio somewhere. dunno. try installing a different launcher and play around with the set-wallpaper option in both of them

as for BDO i was surprised to have full signal and data on xt all day, facebook etc worked as normal, txts surprisingly on time, everywhere from boiiler room to drinking cage to top of grandstands... im surprised the JPA modem let you down, cus im using the same.. maybe somehow its something to do with the criskelo rom but i couldnt think how/why

ps: rammstein was the craziest stage show i ever seen. tool was too mellow... and MIA i thought was 90% strangled electronic rubbish and ppl were only in there to get out of the rain... how was your day :)

Might try what you have suggested and see if it fixes the wallpaper issue. With the battery life. I haven't fully tested it out on a normal day of use since I only flashed it on Wed night. then my nandroid backup failed on Thursday and screwed up my phone so had to reflash/wipe. Had BDO y'day which I got 12 hours of life from with taking about 80 photos and a GB of video, checking facebook and twitter etc regularly. So will try to put it through a normal day of use and see how long it lasts.

And yeah BDO was great. I absolutely loved Rammstein! Without doubt my fav act of the day. Yeah not too huge fan of Tool but was alright. Also enjoyed some Bloody Beetroots and I was on sidestage when Lupe Fiasco was on which was awesome. Lol at his audio issues though. Sucked about the rain and yeah me and my friends, like others took shelter in the boiler room when MIA came on. Yeah she's not that great live. Ended up cold and wet after that walking to my ride back to Tauranga but still was a wicked day :)

EDIT:
Yeah might try a new ROM soon. My current ROM was just my first flash and a step to greater, much better ROMS, since I now have CWM working etc. Might flash Darky's Rom or something from the kitchen.

Will also try the battery thing :)

Yeah I had to do the battery thing and my battery now is still not super good, but good enough. That signal problem is really weird, I've been using the JPA modem with pretty brilliant results. I live in a country area and reception quite frankly sucks(1 bar is pretty good) and I'm getting about another bar on top of that(super good :D), sorry I can't really help out defragger, was the JPY modem working before this?

On JS3 my battery drain overnight is on par with JPY. My wifi signal strength however is less. Several times wifi dropped out and mobile data took over while laying in bed (at the opposite end of the house). Never happened on JPY. However I thought the wifi was connected to the modem and I haven't changed modems, nor kernels for that matter.

No, it doesn't sound great. My battery drain is with wifi enabled all night (presumably it was connected all night - 3G doesn't show any mobile data usage and I had twitter and email arrive)

defragger/shrapnel/myself dont count as we are using 850mhz devices... so ignore our JPA talk :) id be interested to know what modem works best on voda's network here tho

Ouch, I sat my phone down on 34% overnight and woke up finding it had the same left? Maybe it's because your phone keeps looking for a signal due to that modem problem? Just a thought

has anyone successfully updated their I9000T via the Kies hack? I just tried but just sends me back to the 2.1.1 update rather than Froyo :(
