hadenkose: No notification or headphone symbol indicating my headphones are connected, but they still work. "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" :-)

Yeah lol.

Works fine on my PS4 controller, Old HTC M7, Laptop...

My favourite quote from The IT Crowd   laughing

I hope it's not a hardware fault!  How do we go about getting a warranty repair on these phones when no receipt/invoice was ever sent out with them?  (At least I was never sent one)

Did you purchase from 2degrees or direct from google? I'm sure there would be no problem getting warranty repair as you'll have some record of your purchase? emails? credit card statement?

2D.  I've got emails etc from them confirming purchase/order, just no physical invoice from them.  You're right though, it shouldn't be a problem should anything go wrong.

@Finch Glad you found a fix.

I just rang 2degrees and asked them for a receipt - and they sent it out. The didn't seem to too interested in the accuracy of it. Perhaps they just record the IMEI numbers of all the devices they sell, then provide support for those devices - no receipt needed?

So, ANZ launches its new GoMoney pay via phone feature, and the Nexus 5x is included but not the Nexus 6p in the list of "approved phones". Any reasons why that might be the case? I would have thought that they were pretty similar in their payments hardware.

Aaroona: If anyone is interested in purchasing an NZ new 6P Graphite 64GB, only a week old, purchased on the 22nd Nov.

Unfortunately my car is incredibly picky with its bluetooth, and will only work with certain models of phone - it hasn't worked with the 6P or the S6 Edge+ that I had.

If interested: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=77&topicid=185600

Looking at $1080 - which comes with a Spigen Thin Fit case, new pair on sennheiser headphones, and of course the phone which is in like-new condition.

Receipt provided as well for NZ warranty. Disappointed to be getting rid of it, but unfortunately I can't deal with my cars builtin bluetooth not working with my phone when traveling, and it's not as simple as replacing the head unit.
At least I'll still get to play with my flatmates' 6P!

Otherwise, will return for a store credit from NL, but would prefer the cash back.

PM me in interested. :)

(Un)luckily for you, it looks like this issue may have been fixed in the 6.0.1 update rolling out starting from today.

I'm using the Kenu Airframe + http://www.kenu.com/#/products/airframe-plus

Really enjoyed it so far. It connects into the vents of the vehicle. Solid product.

I've picked up the Spigen magnetic air vent holder thing.  Seems to work very well so far.

I have got one of these "scosche Magnet Dash Mount" from Mighty Ape. $29.95 *edit* Just purchased another one, before they sell out.

Very small footprint for the stick on mount & magnetic plates are more than capable of holding the phone securely.

IR Blaster. It's also very heavy. I really like it, if it weren't for the blaster and it doesn't seem to cope quite as well with my games, I'd have kept it and sold my S6.

Plus I just bought the new Samsung VR which requires my Samsung phone.

I have three questions about these magnetic holders:-

  1. Do they add much weight or bulk to the phone?
  2. Are they really strong enough to hold the 6P vertically while driving (especially on Christchurch roads)?
  3. Is there any negative effect (e.g. 4g, wifi or bluetooth signal)?

I've had one on my Galaxy S6 for 4 months and never had any issues. I drive quite hard.

No bulk or weight to the phone. I have attached it to the inside of the case. not to the actual phone.
I drove from Tauranga to Hamilton & return, last weekend and the phone did not fall off, slide down the mount.( I was interested to see if it would)
I have noticed no difference to either BT or WIFI ( still getting 100mbps through home wifi & BT worked fine)

The magnetic solutions are most stable car holders and they do not shake at all when driving.
