A friend of mine ran a testing program called Quadrant on his SGS2 and got me to run the same on my Sensation, his result was over 3000 and mine was only 1900-something.

Have any of you testers (and NZTechFreak) seen this program and do you rate what it tests as fair?

Quadrant is not a good benchmark these days. Get CF Bench instead - it's created by Chainfire from XDA forums.

+1 for CF Bench: https://market.android.com/details?id=eu.chainfire.cfbench

You'll see Quadrant results quoted a lot, but there are now better options. Most of the current benchmarks don't support dual core processors, and in the case of Quadrant can give you wildly differing results. Some roms even support scripts to cheat benchmarking apps.

Agree, Quadrant is not much good.

Check my post at the Clove Blog, I do lots of benchmarks there, and more importantly talk about actual use as opposed synthetic benchmarks.

I see a few people are asking me questions that I've covered at the blog, so here is link in case people were unaware:

Talking about blogs, I'm preparing the Geekzone blog that will host the test drivers and their posts about the HTC Sensation. Stay tuned - it should go live when the handsets hit the shelves.

Cheers for the video playback comparison NZtechfreak. Very comprehensive and sways me to the SGSII. The Sensation would still be fine as far as HD files go. would be just a matter of encoding to 720p maximum mp4. This would Ensure smooth playback at all times on The Sensation

Having a gs2 and finding playing videos a bit dark I got the sensation. Build quality is sub par to my desire HD.
Played 2 videos on sensation and gs2 and on sensation down to yellow zone on battery and 53% on the gs2.
Not sure if there is a setting I need to change on sensation, but when I move the sensation it switches off.  On my old desire hd the sense ui was nice and smooth and yet on the sensation it is jerky.  I liked the desirehd and thought I would the sensation but so far it is not a nice experience.

Sounds like your Sensation is faulty. Send it back.

Galaxy S has gone to its new owner. HTC Sensation has gone to its new
owner. Galaxy S3 has gone to its new owner. Now using Galaxy Note 3. Skipping Note 4 I think...

You appear to have very impressive battery life. Mine usually dies after around 2.5hrs of screen usage.

I think Sense does have microlags, especially in scrolling lists but overall it is not laggy and most people wouldn't notice.
