fahrenheit:Neets:fahrenheit:
My battery and wifi sucks, Doc's kitchen seems stagnant and hasn't been updated this month and I'm not sure what to do? Think I'll just whinge.
What are you currently running fahrenheit? The #romkitchen has been very quiet. There's nothing going on at all at the moment. But not just in the Doc XDA thread. Other Devs seem to be MIA too.
Darkyy's 9.1 - which has played havoc with my wifi/3G resulting in significant battery drain.
Have been wanting to jump-ship but was holding out for the latest speedmod to be included in the kitchen.
Now I see that speedmod isn't quite as stable as I thought and people are talking up Tegrak.
ive just CWM flashed darky's v9.2 with speedmod K12T, it has specific fixes for wifi, market etc.
from what i understand, darky has been having trouble with the modified wifi driver that supports adhoc connections, so this build gives you the option to choose the more stable driver (using the darkyrom configurator app off the market which has been updated to v1.05 now with the new options for you to choose what you want)
i flashed a no-wipe to speedmod (from voodoo kernel i was running on darkys v9.1), no modem (thus preserving my UGJL2 modem which is working fantastic), and normal wifi, and all went well. i have no wifi constant searching, connects to my wireless at home in 3secs, no speed issues. battery was good on 9.1 when using the JL2 modem and i will have to see how it goes in this one, so far so good.
FWIW id give the v9.2 a no-wipe flash and see if your wifi problems are resolved...?
the other main thing with v9.2 is that he has released an odin-flashable version with all his tweaks and dbdata all formatted properly so you get a high speed clean base if you decide to wipe everything. so again, a good option if you really want to start fresh.
anyway, just an option if you wanted to try Darky's, this was all updated and released (as far as i can see) this morning :)
gd luck!
